Excellent. Mounted on my 22's scope for night-time varmint hunting. Used the setup to take out a raccoon that was under our house and killing neighbors chickens, during the night. Don't think I could have pulled it off without this. Good quality, stable.

I think the plastic is too soft to get a really firm hold. I like that the plastic is soft around the jaws so that it doesn't scratch anything, but it seems to also limit the amount of clamping pressure you can get from them so I couldn't get anything to hold still. If the position of the light isn't critical these would be fine, but in my opinion this doesn't work as an alternative to rail mounted options.

Holds securely. I use this to mount a flashlight to my pooper scooper shovel for night time walks. I cant hold a flashlight, a leash, and my pooper scooper at the same time. This adds that all-important "tactical" look for picking up dog poop. The mount holds the flashlight directly pointed at the poop. It helps me to signal virtue to my neighbors that I am a responsible dog owner who is serious and conscientious about picking up poop. It also doubles as a convenient place to wrap my reflective band so that the band doesnt slide all the way down to the poop scoop.
