This is my second attempt at buying a third-party tortoiseshell pickguard, and I have to say, it's a lot better than the first one. The tortoiseshell pattern is on a pretty thin layer so there's not a lot of depth to it, but it does appear to actually be swirled into the plastic rather than just cheap printing on solid-color plastic, like the "other guy".I bought this for a Squier Vintage Modified Fretless Jazz Bass (Indonesia 2017). It's tight against the neck, and the cutout for the pickup is just barely big enough. It does not fit against the control plate as originally installed, BUT… I removed the screws and shifted the control plate down by about 1/8 of an inch and it lines up just right, with enough space from the original screw holes that I can drill new holes for the control plate and it will be a perfect, snug fit.I haven't actually installed it yet, because I'm giving myself some time to make sure I really want to drill 13 holes in the body of the bass! No turning back! But, I am pleased with the quality and fit of this pickguard.** UPDATE ** After spending a week deliberating, I decided to go ahead and install it. I removed the screws from the control plate, slid the pickguard into place, and then repositioned the control plate for a perfect fit against the pickguard and drilled new holes — basically shifted the control plate diagonally down about 1/8 inch from its original position. Now everything is a perfect, snug fit. My bass didn't come with a pickguard, so I had to drill all of the holes, but this was easy with a 1/16" bit.I'm very pleased with the end result! Note that these pickguards come with TWO layers of protective film on the front... be sure to peel them both off when you're done! (Again, this is a 2017/2018 Indonesian-made Squier Vintage Modified Fretless Jazz Bass. It does fit if you move the control plate!)

My only complaint is the shape of the "swoop" on the bass/top side of the neck pocket is incorrect, making the screw hole off center. You can see this in the example image in the listing, I just failed to notice. Otherwise it fit great, all screw holes, pickup and neck pocket lined up perfectly, i just had to trim near the control plate by scraping with a razor. Minor inconvenience, I'd rather trim that particular area myself than have a loose fit. Tort pattern looks great, and the guard is nice and flat with no warp.

I recently bought a 2018 Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass '77. I did not care for the stock, black pickguard that came with it and, in the past, have used the FLEOR JB pickguard on a Squier Classic Vibe with outstanding results.I am happy to report that the quality is still top-notch, especially when you consider how reasonable the price is. The PG is not thin or flimsy and the depth of the pearloid is beautiful. There is nothing cheap or budget feeling about it.Several people here have mentioned experiencing a problem lining up the pre-drilled holes, HERE IS A VERY IMPORTANT STEP when installing the pickguard on a Squier bass:Make sure to LOOSEN THE CONTROL PLATE before you begin tightening the screws into the new guard. This allows enough "give" to jockey the FLEOR into the correct place with NO drilling or wonky screw angles.So, there IS NO problem using these with the VM or CV lines of Squier Jazz Basses. It is an above-average product with an extremely reasonable price tag. You need not worry or fear when you order this, it is well worth buying.

Pick guard looked nice but was about 1/8th of an inch or so too long where the knob plate meets. Would need extensive cutting to make it fit. Returned

I replaced the factory white pickguard on a player series jazz bass with this one. The print looks great, and the edges are all nice and clean. Some of the screw holes aren’t 100% centered and it doesn’t line up perfectly with the control plate (which I loosened), but it’s still an acceptable fit, and to be honest the factory fender PG had flaws too. This one is comparable to the factory PG overall.

I have a 2000 fender jazz mim. The pickup cutout was too small. I have to recut to fit.

This fit my Squier Classic Vibe without modification. It aligns perfectly to the neck, pickup and control plate. A couple screw holes are off only far enough that the screw went it at a very slight angle (to be fair, I have another Squier with more crooked screws from the factory.) I thought I was going to have the shave the pickguard down a bit at the neck joint but I was able to hold it flat against the control plate and wiggle it into position with a bit of pressure. Also note in the description, there are two layers of protective film to be peeled off.

La prima cosa per cui questo battipenna stupisce è l'effetto 3D: a differenza di altri prodotti più economici (pur se di buona qualità ) il perlato/tartarugato di questa marca è davvero convincente. Le misure del taglio sono fedeli: sul mio American Pro lo scasso del pickup è preciso ed è stato sufficiente allentare appena le 3 viti della placca controlli per farlo calzare alla perferzione senza bisogno di alcun lavoro di correzione/rifinitura. Molto soddisfatto, consiglio questo a chiunque voglia rifare il look al proprio pargolo con un prodotto di evidente qualità .

Fits perfectly, looks great. Can't comment on the screw holes lining up as my bass didn't have a pickguard, so no holes yet.
