I hung this on the wall at about eye level in my garage. I first screwed in a piece of 2x4 into the studs and then bolted this to the 2x4. There is 50ft of hose, but I wish it had at least 75. Fifty gets it out the garage and I can get the rear tires of the cars parked close to the garage door. There appears to be enough room for about another 25 ft of hose on the reel. It has a switch for ratchet and free-spool and a connecting length of hose that will reach the supply source parked directly under the reel. The real swings left to right freely as you pull the hoseI have had this for at least two years and for occasional use it has been flawless. It is something I wish I had always had. It is heavy duty at least for occasional use, but I think you could easily use it for regular work. It fells very well made. I spent quite a bit of time researching getting this with several trips to garages looking at the "professional" reels. Now that I have it, I like that it is enclosed. The plastic is heavy duty and does not look cheap to me. It looks good in the garage in black.

Installed somewhat easy, directions are just ok. Once up it worked fine and seems it will last for years to come. Reels up very nice and was a great addition to my home shop.

Not. The cheapest air hose reel out there but A pretty good one. The hose is great very flexible. I have used for months now light use and I love it. The reel worked good to and usually doesn't have any problems. Every once in awhile it won't wind up because the hose gets bound up on reel but pulling it out and letting it go again fixes the problem. The only reason it isn't getting a 5 star review is because after a few months it developed a leak. Well I don't mind taking things apart and fixing so I disassembled the reel which actually is pretty easy. And found that where the hose mounts to the reel using a hose clamp was leaking. At first I figured the plastic was cracked but it was just loose an slipped a lil so I pushed back on and tightened the clamp up am think I might have added a second. (not for sure it has been awhile now) and put it all back together and has been working fine ever since. The problem cud have been from me pulling after it was all the way extended so be careful not to do that but I would still reccommed. But if taking apart and making minor fix scares you it may not be for you. Or maybe you will just have to be more careful to not over extend.

Installed this product in my home garage. It wasn't clear from the description on Amazon but the reel comes with a mounting bracket that can be configured to pivot (±65 degrees of travel from centerline) or be fixed. This is important since the hose must be pulled out straight away from the reel. Some reels have rollers (this one doesn't) where the hose leaves the reel so the hose can be pulled out at an angle. With the bracket set up to pivot, it's no problem though since the whole reel pivots to stay in line with whatever direction the hose is pulled out. This makes it easy to pull out the hose to any location in the garage. Just keep in mind that the reel is fairly bulky so plan your installation with enough room to allow the reel to swing from side to side.The leader hose (from the source to the side of the reel) has a 3/8 NPT male fitting to connect to your air source. I think the leader hose is about 5 ft long. The main hose also has a 3/8 NPT male fitting at the end.The hose itself is living up to the "Flex" part of the name. Even under 90+ PSI, it's extremely flexible. It's summer, so I can't comment on cold temperature flexibility. But it's far superior to the 1/4" PVC hose I had been using previously.

It's rare to find a product that lives up to the hype, but this hose/reel does just that. The reel is surprisingly light and mounts easily on the wall bracket which allows 130 degree movement side to side. It can also be disconnected from the bracket for portability and has a convenient handle built into the case. It comes with a nice 5' leader instead of the typical 3 footer, and the mechanism is smooth and positive, making the extension and retraction of the hose easy and flawless. The hose is very flexible and remains pliable under any condition, staying where you want it as opposed to where it's memory wants it to go. If you're tired of struggling with your air hose and you're willing to pay a little extra for the ultimate air hose/reel, this one comes highly recommended. Lastly, the other plus is that it' s "Made In The USA".

I have been using flexzilla electrical reels for the past 4 years and I have been buying flexzilla 3/4 water hose for the past 2 1/2 and they work really well.So the choice to buy a flexzilla air reel made sense. I honestly didn't even read all of the reviews (big mistake) because I had so much confidence in this brand. Well the ratcheting mechanism inside broke within 2 weeks; I should have read the reviews.The airhose is really good quality, the housing is junk plastic and I am sure the mechanism that aids in the ratcheting is plastic too. All of the 1 star reviews are pretty spot on as to what to expect if you buy this product.

La manguera es de excelente calidad, flexibilidad incomparable y un color verde fosforescente de gran visibilidad. La resistencia es muy buena y estoy muy satisfecho con la manguera.En donde si me quedaron a deber es en el gabinete que es de plastico con muchos detalles de calidad e imperfecciones notables. Aunque eso no afecta el funcionamiento del equipo, si deja una mala impresión visualmente.En cuanto al sistema retractil, no funciono bien desde la primera vez que se saco de la caja, no regresaba la manguera y en ocasiones que lo hacia cruzaba la manguera internamente bloqueando su movimiento.Por necesidades de uso me quede con el equipo asi con esta falla, pero la manguera la use en otro dispositivo retractil metalico.Tal vez fue cuestión de suerte, no lo se, es la única vez que he comprado esta marca. Pero independientemente del mecanismo retractil, me gusto la calidad de la manguera.

I still prefer the open reel over this one... sometimes the hose jams up so you have to pull it out again and try to align it properly inside which isn't always easy... hence the 4 stars instead of 5... still my favorite hose material though.
