Connecting fitting wouldn’t catch, had to trim the end off to meet the threads, they made the connector with a 1/4†lip on the end.

This valve is made of extremely cheap materials that do not seem to perfectly mate to my 1/2" NPT threaded adapter purchased from Home Depot. Before you say, "Home Depot, oh sure, there's your problem". The HD item is solid brass and fits everything else in my garage with 1/2" NPT.I finally get the threads to seal with a ton of Teflon pipe sealant and Teflon Tape. Man what a pain.This valve was purchased to replace similar valve which was made of brass.

The 1/2" fitting does not fit ANY standard 1/2" female connection. Worthless.
