I used this to replace a freeze-damaged valve in our lake house. It fit right in, works great. I used some silicone O-ring grease on the silicone bits on the outside before I put it in; not sure if that's necessary.The installation sheet tells you to refer to your original Delta/Peerless installation manual to setup adjustment. I didn't have mine anymore. If that's you, too, pulling up the O-ring on the brass shaft lets you lift the adjustment arm (it's on splines) so you can set it to match the one you're taking out. Hope that helps someone. Took me a minute to figure it out...

I got a old valve leaking. My local Homedepot has the cartridge. But they don't have the part behind that. This part includes both. It's perfect. Thanks!

The shower had not been used in years and sediment and hard water took its toll on the valve and cartridge. I also had to blow compressed air into the diverter channel of the valve to unclog the small orifice to the shower had.

We bought a new delta shower and after installation plumber found faulty cartridge so after trying to go through delta for replacement parts for new shower for three days with very little success….. ordered replacement parts … received and now works just fine….. except turned out to be very expensive install. Will not buy delta again.
