Fluke meters are the industry standard and I was glad to find this for a good price. The LED lights are big and bright and easy to see.

I use this to test for power to an outlet and to test GFI circuits. Works great.

This socket tester works great and it helped me expose an outlet that was miss-wired. Would definitely suggest every home should have one of these babies.

Works great for quick checks on outlets. Great for new installs or to check the receptacles you may be concerned with.

Fluke's name is legendary, but so are their prices. Yet, here was something from Fluke that was under $20. I bought this to test outlets in a recently purchased older home. Perfect accuracy by detecting missing ground (somehow became disconnected) and a reverse polarity outlet (neutral and hot flipped). GFCI test works, too. Took off 1 star because it blocks both outlets when plugged in since it attached vertically to the outlet. For some reason, I find this annoying compared to the testers that point out horizontally when plugged in.

The unit works well at showing problems with outlets. I tested it on known issues and it worked well. There are other units out there that are more compact that do the same job, but the Fluke has more visible lights.

I had a plug that stopped working. This item showed me I had an “open neutral†meaning the white wire came loose or was detached somewhere in the circuit. When I located the wires and tightened them down in the connectors that preceded the outlets I got the double green lights showing it was connected properly. A household must
