This little guy is small enough to not be obnoxious in a smaller aquarium. I have a Fluval Edge tank and wanted to be able to read the temp readily, without having a thermometer that would be an eye-sore. I hate putting the 'digital' types on that use adhesive; if you go to remove them, there's a residue to deal with, which is not at all to my liking. This has a sturdy suction cup and is easy to read. So that it would be both functional and out of the way, I put it on the top of my tank in a back corner, making it completely invisible unless I'm looking down into the tank. For me, this is perfect.It doesn't have any frills and the numbers are truncated, so if you need something that says "80, 81, 82, etc" this is not for you. However, for my purposes it's perfect. You have tick marks between single digit numbers, so it isn't hard at all to figure out the temp while keeping the thermometer inconspicuous.

It seems like this reads the temp pretty accurate but reading the smaller print is hard. Besides that it's a solid product.

Arrived with huge separations/bubbles in the spirit, after lots of work to get those out, it still reads inaccurately because it has a few black specs of pigment stuck in the vein which I can't fix. I bought this to be more accurate than my digital thermometer and its far worse.

Nice thermometer it’s small so you gotta get up to it to read it but that’s ok looks nicer than a bigger one seems accurate

Yes, this thermometer is small and unobtrusive, but it has been poorly designed. I find it extremely hard to read even with 20/20 eyesight. The numbers are not pronounced enough (not black ink). Making it also problematic is the zeros are on one side of the tube while the tens are on the other, so the thermometer can't be read from angles. I was able to move the suction cup (with some force) for better placement in the tank, but I'm still disappointed. Haven't yet bought another thermometer so I can't speak to its accuracy. Would rate it a 5 if it weren't for the terrible readabilty - not much help if it can't be read!

I order three of these. They are the perfect little thermometer for my tanks. The suction cup allows for installation any place along the tank's sides. I chose along one of the side walls about midway back and about half way up. By placing them that far back they don't distract from my tanks, but I can still read them. All three gave me the same readings, which doesn't mean they are 100% (I suspect they are) but they are constant, which to me is more important.

I know exactly what you're thinking. You wanna just get the digital one instead, because it'll display the temp more obviously. After months of thinking my heaters were crap, I realized my digital thermometer was inaccurate. I was shocked when I realized my tropical tank had been in the 90s! When I bought this one, i bought a two-pack of digital thermometers as well, and as of now, the one I've had on in the tank is displaying inaccurate again. It might be a battery thing, but since the damn thing doesn't tell you when the battery is low, you end up thinking the heater is off. The glass is scary to have in the tank to some people, but at the end of the day MERCURY DOESN'T NEED BATTERIES TO TELL YOU THE TEMP. Just bite the bullet and get this lovely little one. I only use this one now and am quite satisfied with my results.

El termómetro es muy impreciso, diminuto y muy costoso. No lo recomiendo para nada. Es mejor buscar una opción mas económica.
