I’m using these to send signal to a low power tube amp powering a set of external tweeters for clarity and air to augment my home stereo. My Heco Aurora 300s have an incredibly natural sound giving full body to musical instruments but are lacking in the high end. Those are powered by a class a/b Schiit power amp. With these inline crossovers I can convert the second output signal from the preamp to send only highs to the low power tube amp which otherwise would be unable to produce a clean sound. Now this amp can power those tweeters fully and add that tube sheen on the highs making the overall sound detailed and HiFi delicious. A great stereo hack for this audiophile on a budget.

I have used a passive, digital active, analog active, and then these. Passive networks have various Impedance issues no matter how well designed they are and have a smaller crossover slope. Active crossovers have a higher slope and with no Impedance issues but digital ones sound very thin to me. I also got an analog active that sounds great but has noise issues. These are the endgame for me they introduce no noise and no color. They do these job perfectly and nothing more. I’ve also tried combining 2 of these in series and got better off axis response from my speakers. My Setup is connected like this MacBook Pro > Focusrite 6I6 Or HRT Music Streamer2+ Or SMSL M8 1st Gen > Schiit Magni 3 Or Yahama Mg10 Or 6N3 Tube Preamp > Rca Splitter > These crossovers > Emotiva A100 > Midbass Morel TSCM634 $400ea Tweeter Aurum Cantus G1 $300ea. Rather you are using a entry level system or something high end I recommend you try these before any other crossover. They are simple, relatively cheap and add no noise or color.

These are just right for crossing over a stereo multi-amp system at 500 Hz and 5K Hz, require no power wiring, and add no noise. I use 2 each 2500s to give me 5K. It is impossible to find an active electronic crossover that does not use weird frequencies that are odd multiples of each other, giving an out-of-tune sound, so I recommend these instead, 500 down, 500 up, and 2 each 2500s up for woofers, mids, and tweeters respectively..

I was worried, but they worked exactly as described from a dedicated amplifier to a single center speaker.
