Its soft but still holds its firmness and support for an individual to sit on it without compressing the foam too much. Compression = firmness compression (not density) is what determines firmness. If you dont want a cushion thats hard as a rock or a mattress that sinks when you sit on it, you have to check the compression or ild number. Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress a piece of foam 25% and still bounce back to the original thickness. For example, a 4" thick piece of foam that requires 33 lbs. To pack it down 1" and have it return to its full 4" thickness has a 33 lb. Compression rating or (ild) -indention load deflection. - all foam sheets are sold per sheet - not per yard. Do not open with a box cutter. Use a ball point pen or a pencil. Start by making a little incision and break it from there - durability : will last 7 to 10 years Medium density foam is used for firmness yet relax able cushion. Got it to replace a cushion on an existing couch, and it fits perfectly as measured! Good density and firmness, very comfortable! Does have a slight smell right out of the package but that dissipates pretty quickly.

I like the fact that by purchasing these foam cushions it saved me a lot of money versus buying a new ðŸ›‹ï¸ couch. The original cushions had the coils with the foam, and once the coils broke down the couch wasn't comfortable to sit on. Very comfortable now. Happy with my purchase.

These cushions saved my couch. They're a bit firm but, I like them firmer rather than softer. I highly recommend.

Required a little bit of cutting to fit the cushion shape but cut easy did exactly what it was needed to I would recommend it for back support and not for sitting on. There are memory foam gel that would be best for sitting, but it filled the back support cushion, is firm, and the price didn't break the bank.

I purchased four of these to replace the cushions inside my Ektorp IKEA couch and chair. They were perfectly sized, sit the couch perfectly, and so far have held up very well. True it's only been a couple of months, but so far they hold up well. Eventually when they do wear out, as all foam eventually does, I will totally buy them again to help this couch last even longer.

I have had this cushion for a month now and it is visually sagging worse than the original one it replaced. Definitely not firm or sturdy as it was advertised to be. Returning it is out of the question as it came vacuum sealed in a roll. Do not waste your money!
