A Solid, Lightweight Slicer for Home UseBased on my shopping and usage experience, this product does meet the needs for everyday home use without any issues. I saw in the manual that it's not recommended to use it too long at a time, probably to avoid the motor overheating from prolonged use. However, I don't usually slice food for that long, so it's not a problem for me.I found the manual lacking in detailed information for assembly and use. However, I watched the video tutorial on the product page, which resolved most of my doubts and issues. I’d also suggest that the manual include more pictures to help buyers with assembly and usage—it would make things a lot easier.What’s worth mentioning is that it uses an RSG brand blade, which is very sharp. You definitely need to be careful when using it. I talked to some German friends about it, and they told me RSG blades are quite well-known in Europe. I was really surprised that a slicer at this price point comes with an RSG blade. If it came with an extra one, that would be awesome!As for the folding and storage feature, it does save some space when folded up. Since it's made of plastic, it's lightweight, and if you're looking for a traditional, heavy-duty metal slicer, this might not be the one for you. I did wonder about the durability of the plastic, but the other day I accidentally dropped it while storing it, and it didn't have any issues and works just fine. So, I guess it's sturdy.During use, adjusting the slice thickness is smooth, and the slices come out pretty even. The manual does emphasize not slicing completely frozen meat, but rather partially thawed meat. I looked into it, and it turns out that non-commercial machines really can't handle fully frozen food. The blade, motor power, and speed just aren’t built for it. Trying to slice frozen food could slow it down, cause uneven cuts, or even wear down the blade. So, it’s best to thaw the food a bit before slicing.Overall, it’s a lightweight slicer that works well for everyday home use. It has a few drawbacks, but I’m still pretty happy with it.

I returned the first slicer that I bought because it was too large and would not fit in any of our lower cupboards. This slicer does fold up quite well and fits in several different spaces. Note, however, that the two pieces that come with it don’t totally collapse. You might even end up, storing them in a different place.I have cut bread and ham and been very pleased with how well it works. It did take a little bit more effort than I thought to clean it because where it folds up, meat or breadcrumbs can get caught in that space.In some, it works very well, very sharp, very quiet, and fits in a lot smaller space than most of the other slicers that I looked at. And at a good price point. By the way, one of the other reviews is incorrect; you have to push both buttons to start, but then you only have to hold one button. I found that easy to do while moving the meat through the slicer with the other hand

So far I have used it to slice six loaves of whole wheat bread. It is easy to use. Has good safety features. Folds up to store in a fairly small place when not in use. It is very adjustable for different thicknesses of slices. It has suction cups on the bottom to keep it secure. I found that because my counter tile is uneven, it is important to put it on a large cutting board when using. It is lightweight and definitely only for home use. Hoping that it lasts for a long time being used for two loaves per week. The slices are much thinner than could be done with a knife and very consistent. The toasted slices are much better than those sliced by hand and good for making sandwiches.

I bought this to slice my homemade bread in a uniform way. This works very well for this! I did find the safety/power switch to be a bit combersome as I have to stop each slice instead of being able to just keep cutting. I love the compact design, as I live in an RV and have limited space.With bread, I did not that I have to slice very slowly, but it works very well and each slice is the same. Thank you for this product!

Works well slicing smoked turkey breast, ham and summer sausage. Fairly easy to clean, folds up into a neat package, takes up little space in the kitchen. Instructions could be better, but with a little attention to the details, it can be figured out. On the whole, a nice unit.

Didn’t like anything about it. Didn’t slice well. Slices were uneven in thickness & the motor sounded like it was struggling to slice cheese. I never felt safe using it. Will spend more money on a better & safer product. I gave it 1 star only because I had to in order to exit the review.

3 stars because it does what it's supposed to do and it's cheap. It's not the easiest thing to use and the plastic pieces (the whole thing is plastic) are flimsy and are hard to keep together. I think I'll eventually have to get a replacement with a more sturdy machine.

It's cheap for a reason. The thickness setting does not stay set in position. When you place something to be sliced, the thickness increases with each slice. It takes two people to operate - one to hold the start button and slice and a second person to hold the thickness setting. Kind of a P.I.T.A .
