Tips of Set Up the Trigger
-Set the release lever for the door very lightly and make sure the hook is not angled to the side, have it straight, and as centered as possible.
-The length of the trigger rod/pin as short as possible in order that the trigger is sensitive enough .
Step-by-Step Trapping Guide:

My sister-in-law and I use this to capture stray cats in our neighborhoods to get them into a Trap-Neuter-Release program. It's very humane and when the cats are spayed/neutered, they can no longer make babies so that cuts back on how many feral cats are around.

It took sometime to get here. The box was open and one piece is lose in the box. No instructions so I have no idea how it works. But it's sturdy and green and I am keeping it. update: i found the videos and I figured it out.

I can't tell whether it's an overall design flaw or if just the trap I received happens to be flawed, but this humane trap is completely useless to me. The assembly instructions are ridiculously vague with the attempt at English grammar making everything even murkier. There is only a series of photos with arrows pointing in the general direction of the mechanism, and I seem to be missing a mysterious L-shaped piece. I'm usually very good at looking at something closely and seeing how everything is supposed to work, making assembly a simple matter of common sense, but nothing about this trap makes any sense at all, with the exception of the U-shaped piece holding the exit side closed.This is why I try to stick to items with at least 5,000 reviews. Then at least I feel relatively safe in assuming some of the five star reviews are sincere. I don't see how anyone could give this piece of junk more than one star, and that's being generous.

We already caught a racoon and relocated him. This trap was a little small for him, better use it for smaller animals.
