I used this with my neon paints to add sparkle to dragon fly wings and also to add a glimmer to white sheer curtains. I am thinking of using this and some of the other colors more often. I am wondering what else folk art offers as far as paints.....I can't wait to try it on my Holiday Art. I added a few paintings that had little small touches of the dragon fly glaze...it won't show up like a glitter it just adds a slight glimmer over dark colors. I like to use it on butterflies....or a glimmer to my waterfalls. So this is wonderful stuff but it is subtle.....which is prefect for me.....

I wasn't expecting much due to Folk Art's price, but wanted to try this out. I was VERY surprised at the gorgeous finish this provided on several props and will definitely by rethinking my bias on this brand!

Based on the photos, I was expecting a much more dramatic effect, but it’s very subtle and only really noticeable in certain light. I put 4 coats over a wooden ornament painted teal blue, hoping to get a closer match to the photos on the post but no. Still, it does add a nice little shimmer effect and looks cool when the light hits it, so I would recommend it but just don’t expect it to be like the photos, the effect is more like a very fine glitter over your piece. I am guessing to match the photos, you’d have to put it over their color shifting or metallic paint maybe? It does brush on evenly and dries fairly quickly and isn’t tacky to the touch once fully dry, so the quality is good.

I love color-shifting things, and I wanted this for a very damaged vintage train case I got from my local free group. I painted it blue and added this on top... absolutely gorgeous. Couldn't love it more. I actually ordered a second one the second the first ran out.

I’ve had this ceramic cat for a few years. Wasn’t sure what I was going to do with the untouched kitty. Then I found the blue acrylic paint on Amazon.ca. Finally, after three thin coats, it was ready to seal with clear spray paint. Voila, space alien cat! She’ll be a beautiful addition to my ornamental cat collection. Just glazed it a few minutes ago, one I got a warm enough and windless day to get the job done. The uses for this sparkling paint are endless. Five stars across the board!
