Original comments below. I discovered that if you tug the little ribbon holding the stand, it actually pulls the rest of the way out. It's just glued in funny.That said, I know love everything about this case. :)------------------------Love the look, love the hand strap.The stand doesn’t open up enough to use it though. And it doesn’t push all the way into the case, so the frame around the screen obscures a centimeter across the whole top of the screen.

The cover is very cute. It has decent magnet strength. I have a Gen 11th kindle - as you see from the picture- this cover doesn’t fit snug. However, for the cost, it’ll have do for my 15+ hour plane ride.
