This product did not come with an owners manual on how to use it

Seems to work as designed. Don't lose the instructions though. The menu system for settings is not friendly.

Having started to use the product, it became immediately apparent that the tolerance is way out.Advised by manufacturer to send it back, however, it has to be shipped to Las Vegas, and they'll only pay up to £20 postage.Just avoid the pain...
