I've purchased 3 different carbs (from three different companies on Amazon) for my 1952 8n Ford tractor and this is the first one that actually worked right out of the box. I did make a couple of minor adjustments to the two mixture screws, but minor tweaks only. The problems I had with other two carbs from the different companies I had purchased earlier was that I could never get them adjusted no matter what I tried. The tractor had no power with the one I purchased....and the other one I purchased would flood out the minute I would get it on any incline. I'm glad to announce this carb is an excellent choice for replacing an improperly functioning carb on your 8N. It's an excellent price, value, and has my tractor running better than it has for years!!! It even starts better. Would highly recommend this carb over any others.

I bought this carb instead of rebuilding the original for the third time. Perfect fit, just needed some fine tuning for my tractor. Very impressed

I bolted this carb on 10 minutes after taking it out of my mail box. No adjustments, started right up. I had the original marvel, had rebuilt it 4 times, it was done. Bought another from Amazon, never would run right, idle was eradicate. This one worked nice.

Item arrive fast and in good shape. Packaging was sufficient. Install went as planned without issue and everything matched up just fine. Tractor fired up and idled well but getting this carb to tune has been the challenge. After much effort, including adjustments under load, I have yet to dial this in and have it running as smoothly as with the original carb. Unfortunately, the original is simply worn out. Will continue to make fine adjustments but will likely replace with higher quality Zenith or the like.

What a difference this carburetor made on my 1948 Ford 8N! Just a couple of fine-tuning adjustments and my tractor was purring at 400 rpm without hiccuping or stalling out. When I opened the throttle full it quickly rose to 2200 rpm--again without stalling out or hiccuping. Very impressed and look forward to getting to work pushing snow. I have a little tip I learned from my father that will definitely help with sticking float and flooding out after sitting for long periods of time. Before turning the ignition key off, close the valve on the fuel line and let it run until it completely runs out of gas and stalls. It only takes about a minute or two for the bowl to fill when you want to use your tractor, but this will definitely help to keep the crud from forming on the float, Hope this helps!
