solid construction and good clips but do note it only works with 1" plates.

The bar itself is good. I like that it has a plastic grip because it makes it more stable and it avoids it sliding, slipping. My complaint is about the clips, they are not good and if I put more than 5lbs weight it does not hold the weight in place. I had to buy better clips separately.
