I have triple negative breast cancer and will have surgery soon. Looked at several but this one looked the best. When it arrived I was pleased I chose this one. It is thick enough and comfortable enough that it will be comfortable and protective. Having two cats I was worried that I wouldn't have one to meet all my needs. This one holds my phone, kindle and whatever medical needs I'll have. Nothing in back to make it uncomfortable the belt clip hold is on the side and low enough to be out of the way. Very happy

Purchased this for a breast reduction surgery. The pillow is comfortable for car rides. I really enjoy the ice packs the most.

This mastectomy pillow is wonderfully helpful for pain relief. High quality design and materials. Made from a quality polyester fabric with a polypropylene fill material. Strong and durable. Super soft and well padded. Warm. Comfortable. A must have for any upper body surgeries such as heart, upper abdomen, or breast surgeries. This set is especially helpful because it also includes 2 small, perfectly sized, reusable ice packs that can slide right into the pockets of the pillow. It also includes an easy to apply and remove, padded seatbelt pillow. This pillow makes wearing a seatbelt much, much, much more comfortable while recovering from surgery or pain. Wonderfully comforting for daily use too. The mastectomy (surgical removal of part or all of a breast) pillow itself is awesomely designed. Brilliant and clever. First, the pillow has extra padding under the armpit or axilla area for extra and much needed comfort. 5 pockets large enough to eliminate the need to carry a purse or handbag which is quite difficult when you have upper body pain. The pockets can also act as gloves, slide right into the perfectly positioned pockets to keep your hands warm. The front kangaroo like pouch pocket is large enough and strong enough to support arm muscles while in pain taking the pressure off. Super versatile, this pillow can easily be repurposed for other types of surgery or comfy uses. Adjustable. The purpose of this type of after surgery pillow is to stabilize the affected area, protecting the incision, and provides pressure that helps relieve pain and makes breathing and coughing easier. This would make the perfect, thoughtful gift. Would definitely highly recommend this must have awesome and useful after surgery pillow set. This is perfect for recovery! It keeps everything close to you and helps keep the pressure on you, which helps with the pain. The ice packs are great and I am so glad they came with this.

I bought this for an upcoming surgery for my wife. While the design/cushion shape it a bit odd (heart shaped as pictured) the pillow should be perfect for icing/heating and also protecting from unexpected bumps and young children who don't quite understand approaching carefully. The pillow is well cushioned and it's great that it comes with two reusable ice packs.

I doubt Gandalf was talking about a mastectomy pillow but he COULD have!The most important feature of the Forias Mastectomy Pillow is that it provides protection, comfort and cooling. My sister is using this after her procedure and she lives a fairly active lifestyle with lots of animals and farm work. She really appreciates the ice pack pockets because of swelling and general discomfort. But she has also been very happy with the pillowed protection since at least once so far a goat has taken it into its head to butt into her when she was working with it. It didn't stop the pain... but it really lessened the blow.The other detail she was happy with was the compression. It was something she could adjust and get a good feel for that helped her find comfort wherever she was. All in all this has been a big help to her.

I have not had my breast surgery yet. But I used this last night for added pressure after two biopsies on one side. It helped to add the pressure comfortably, and helped hold the ice pack in place. It comes with two ice packs you can slide into 2 of the 5 pockets for ice packs. There are side pockets right where I needed them on the side of breasts, but I had the ice pack in my bra.The straps are adjustable, both the one that goes around the midsection and the ones that go over the shoulders.This is very handy for someone going through breast cancer, and certainly will help after breast surgery too.
