I was sick of my cheese always going moldy when I stored it so I got these to try. They are in my option very expensive but worth the price. They do a much better job allowing the cheese to breath and preventing mold. I have easily saved as much in cheese not being thrown out as these cost.

I saw a recommendation for this in my Cooks magazine. We LOVE cheese around here and cheese is SOO good with wine and I cook with it too. We have a great deal of cheese and even tho my cheese drawer in the 'fridge is pretty good, the cheese can still get pretty darn icky in a week or two or when you find some chunk a month later you forgot about. I have tried several methods and found none of them works so with the holidays coming I knew we would have loads of it around and figured this was an excellent time to test this paper out.It comes in a box much like wax/parchment paper with the sheets already cut and they include cute little name stickers with places to mark whether its cow or goat cheese. The length is enough for most cheeses although were I to have a big wheel it might be difficult to wrap.We had a party on the Winter Solstice Dec 21st and we had lots of cheese. We had leftovers and I wrapped them in the paper. I used a single sheet and did a very light wrap and placed a rubber band around the open ends not very tightly, these cheeses were soft and would have been squished.That was 18 days ago and today I found several in the cheese drawer that had not been eaten. A Havarti, Camembert and a Brie. The Havarti was EXACTLY the same as the day I wrapped it! The Brie and the Camembert had some VERY slight soft spots but they were completely edible (and they were immediately eaten).This stuff works! I haven't kept anything any longer than 18 days (so far) but hey! That's not bad. So I'm going to buy more and keep it around. Why 4 stars? - I wish this came in a roll so I could CHOOSE the size of my sheets.

I cannot believe how long cheese lasts inside this paper. No mold, no drying out. Zero waste!!! How am I just hearing about this now? When I think of all the plastic I've used over the years wrapping cheese, and how it NEVER GOES AWAY ... well, if a sea turtle or a salmon or a young child inheriting this planet wants to beat me up in a dark alley, I will have earned that beating.Anyway, buy this. Do it. It's so worth it, for your cheese, for your wallet, and for the sea turtles / salmon / underwater organisms + roving bands of young children just looking to inherit a planet.Love, love, love this product.

I typically buy small amounts of cheese. These sheets wrap around cheese perfectly and keep the cheese fresh.

Before I bought this cheese paper I would do the cheese search in the refrigerator. After buying cheeses, opening them, and then rewrapping them in heaven knows what--namely plastic wrap, aluminum foil, plastic containers, it was always the same result, moldy cheese. Not only that, but unless it was an identifiable cheese, like Brie, I didn't know what I had wrapped because the label was no longer there. This paper is similar to what Kerrygold cheese is wrapped in--it's a lightweight paper lined with a porous type of plastic. The box contains the paper in sheets plus some stickers that you can write on with the name of the cheese and the date it was wrapped or even sell by date. There are also pictures of a sheep, cow, and goat so the source can be identified by circling or checking one of them! What I also like is that the cheeses can be rewrapped after use and amazingly the stickers still stick! The paper can also be cut to size to wrap smaller cheeses. So far I have noted that the cheeses have stayed fresh with not a trace of mold. I found this product advertised in Cooks Illustrated and was delighted that I could order it here on Amazon! I highly recommend this product to all cheese lovers!Just a note: I've also discovered that deli meats keep very well in this paper as well.

My son ordered this item for me. Apparently he ordered the papers instead of the bags. When Ireceived the package I didn't want to go through the process of changing it to the bags so I have beenusing them for wrapping cheese. I much prefer the bags however. The next time this order is made I will make sure it is the bags.

Expensive for what it is, should come with way more stickers but it works. Buy normal cheese paper it does the same thing.

I had a friend give me this cheese paper last year. It is absolutely amazing! I buy large wedges of gouda cheese from Costco. Once I've opened it I use the cheese paper to wrap it in. It keeps fresh forever - no drying out and no mold. I ran out a while ago and thought that wax paper would do the trick. No such luck. I was excited to see that Amazon has it. Highly recommend.
