We placed this in the light on the front porch. The receiver was placed in the back of our house. The alarm goes off when ever someone is on the front porch! No more missed packages! Anyone steps on the porch I hear an alarm and run to the front door. I love this alarm! East to set up and works well. This was so worth the investments.

I've struggled for years to get a decent door chime solution for my wife's salon, with the common denominator being that I always got a door sensor-based solution for the problem. That's the kind where you put a piece on the door frame, and another on the door. I think there's a reed switch, a magnet, a transmitter, and a battery. Maybe because of the commercial doorframe fitment, those solutions were never as reliable as we needed them to be.All of that led me to the Fosmon WaveLink Door Chime Driveway Alarm Guard Wireless Motion Sensor (500 Feet, 58 Tunes, 5 Volume Levels, LED Indicators) Motion Detector Home/Business/Store Entrance Alert (1 Receiver + 2 Sensor). I mounted the sensor on an archway near the front door, and put the chime box about 40 feet down the hall. If my concerns with using a PIR-based solution were that there'd be false or missed alerts, I haven't seen any yet. Further, I love that the unit uses AAA batteries, which are more convenient and economical for me than CR2032s that previous solutions have used.If I have any issues, like poor battery life, I'll update this review with my findings. For now, though, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Highly Recommended

UPDATE: Contrary to information I received earlier, that I referenced in the original review below, it turns out you CAN turn the light off. If you pop off the back of the sensor, there's an on/off switch for the light!We purchased this, like many others do, to help care for someone in the home. We were worried about them getting out of bed unassisted in the middle of the night and decided a motion detector alert system would be the best. After reading the reviews, and looking at prices, we settled on this one. It does what it's supposed to do, is pretty simple to set up, and the motion detection works just fine in the house; it also sends the signal, through apartment walls, with no problem.That said, there is one flaw/feature that's making us buy a replacement alert. AND IT DOES SAY THIS IN THE DESCRIPTION! I didn't notice it at the time of research but this feature defeats part of the purpose, at least for us. The motion sensor lights up when activated and the light can not be covered or turned off. SO, every time it detects motion, in addition to alerting the people in the other room, it lights up the room and annoys the patient. If the aides want to come in and check at night? The light goes on and that sometimes wakes up the patient who has now asked for it to be shut off. With this particular kind of detector, the light can't be covered with tape; it's the whole thing that lights up.So, works as advertised but, if you don't want it to alert the person in the room -- again, if that's what you're using it for -- look elsewhere.

Supposedly, you can select different output sounds. No matter what I selected, it always went back to the default "Ding-Dong" sound. I decided to settle for the default sound, thinking that it was better than nothing. Ater about 15 minutes I got nothing. It seems the receiver quit receiving signals from either of the two transmitters. THEN... I was unable to return the defective item. Of course, my refund was pending the return of the defective item. I made four trips to the UPS Store with three different Amazon-generated QR codes. The codes would scan, but the transaction would not go through. Amazon finally (after two chat sessions with Customer Service) came through with a refund. I don't know if the issue with the return was with Amazon or the seller, but previous to this, I've never had any problem with Amazon with returns and refunds.

We have this on the front door of our business with chime in the back room, it works great to alert us if someone comes in.

Exactly what I needed. I was able to set them up easily and put a different tune on each one. I have a kid who is going through a bit of a "phase," if you will. One sensor's in the pantry and the other in front of the kids' rooms so I can tell if they get up in the middle of the night. I can judge by the time the same one rings if they just used the bathroom and went back to bed, or if they take long I can go personally see if they're ok or up to no good. During the day I can tell if they're sneaking into the pantry and check if it's something they're allowed to have or not. Because the pantry is in the rear entrance of the house, it also doubles as an alarm against intruders in the middle of the night, giving me extra piece of mind even though the door to the garage stays locked of course. Great deal for two sensors and the instructions were simple to follow for setup.

The description of the article was not accurate, on one part it says receiver and transmitter included and on the other it says not included, perhaps seller should read a bit about what he uploads instead of copy and paste, Foto taken from the article description
