I had some filters and lens cover I needed to fit over a 50mm lens but nothing worked. I'm glad I found this. It really helped me use my gear properly. It fit snug and it was barely noticeable. Really well built material.

Meets the needs for a 52mm spacer. Wish it were available in additional spacing sizes - i.e. 5mm, 10mm, 15mm, etc. - this would be much more versatile. Threads are not precision cut and are not as smooth fitting as higher quality filters, lenses, etc. Care should be taken to not over tighten since the threads have a tendency to lock up. Otherwise, a good value for the cost.

Nikon's older screw in lens hoods are generally too short so that the photographer could use filters without vignetting. For times when I'm not using filters, this spacing ring extends the hood in the same way to better eliminate stray light.The ring went on smoothly, and was the right thickness.As a note, since this is aluminum, make sure to tighten by pressing your palm and turning until your palm slips, instead of grabbing it with your fingers and turning until it stops. That way you won't over tighten and it won't be frozen in place when you try to remove it.

Ordered a single 52-52 and received THREE. Also got SEVEN free 37-49 step up rings. Luckily I got the 52-52 for one of my Sony Mavicas, my other Mavicas are 37mm thread so I'll find a use for the bonus step ups.

Bought this ring to add to my Makayama Movie Mount for iPad. The Movie Mount has a plastic threading for attaching the wide angle lens I use with it. Recording youth bball and vball games, I am constantly taking the lens on and off, so the plastic eventually stripped out. I bought this to glue into place of the stripped out threads so I can have a solid aluminium threading to attach my wide angle lens to. Works perfect!

A lens spacing ring is an excellent choice when you want to protect your camera lens. How? Have you ever fumbled trying to get the lens cap back on and into place? I have. And in doing so over a few years, I have managed to scratch the lens glass by not not pushing the lens cap flat on. The spacing ring does not interfere even with a wide angle lens, does not cause vignetting. It provides a bit of distance between the lens cap and the glass of the lens itself. Excellent way to protect all of your lenses.

I bought this for my Nikon Coolpix p950 because I had bought a few high end lends filters but they were incompatible this ring spacer gives just enough space to my all my lens filters works perfectly I am so happy 5 stars all the way
