Very sturdy and solid construction. Now I don't have to rely on my ball head to get a vertical angle with my camera no matter the lens I am using. It is so fast to swap profiles with this.

This does exactly what I want. Mounts to my Sony A6700 (see below) w/ Tamron 18-300 lens. Then it allows me to easily and confidently rotate between landscape and portrait orientation, which I do a lot during my shooting sessions.Note 1: I almost thought it wouldn't fit. Plan to adjust the height of the camera plate relative to the rotating arm. This wasn't obvious until I wondered what's this included hex wrench for. Then it was obvious.Note 2: After solving issue 1 it still seemed to have just a little play in it. Enough to be a problem? Probably not, but noticeable in my setup with that long lens. I determined that in addition to the little stopper screws there is a screw to adjust the tension/friction of the rotation around the arm. Using a T9 bit (which is not a common size) I was able to tighten this up just a bit, and now there is no play or wobble when stressed. So with a bit of adjustment it does exactly what I want and I'll rate it 5 stars.

I was hoping this would work on the Canon 800mm f11 lens as a work-around for the lens not having a rotating collar, but the lens barrel is too large. In all fairness this mount is intended to be attached to the camera, not the lens.Seems to be a good quality. Will keep it for possible use with other lenses.

I dont know if Im going to keep it, you should be aware of the problems.(1) It blocks part of my monitor Id say 15% on my Canon T8i(2) I can only use the monitor flat up against the back. No room to rotate.(3)Mounts the Camera 4 inches further forward of the normal direct mount making it front heavy even with my relatively small Canon EFS 55-250(4) I fear the tripod or monopod could fall over. Especially with a larger lens. Use care taking it offI think I talked my self into returning it.It's fine. For a small light weight camera without add on lenses.

I like this option better than the other ones that actually go between the body and the lens. This attaches to the bottom of the camera, and will even screw into an existing "L" bracket, which I always us. It's a great way to add a rotating movement for multiple exposures. Its small an light, although not overly compact if packing it apart from camera. My only complaint is that the rotating motion is not super smooth. Even loosened all the way, it's a little rough. So again, if looking to do multiple exposures or something else creative where you are spinning the camera, you'll probably get a raggedy effect-unless it's just my copy. But for less than $50, you can't beat it! When I showed a friend she immediately ordered one. Seller was great.

If this had some better adjustments it would probably work for more cameras.
