I spent a good while searching for word on whether the Haoge LMR-Z186 Lens Collar would work with my Nikon Nikkor Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR and my Really Right Stuff ball head with a lever clamp. In the end, I just ordered the da*n thing to see for myself. I’m glad I did. It’s well-made, fits the lens like it was born to, and locks into the ball head as if they were meant for each other. Some collars go for over $250 these days, but this Haoge? It was a real find—solid, no nonsense, and at a fair price.

I received the foot and lense and have replaced the foot with this foot with the arca Swiss set up.It is very sturdy and the quality has not let me down

This fits just as well as OEM and adds the incorporated Swiss arca foot. I had read in reviews that folks didn't like the thumb screw. I figured that it couldn't be that big of a draw back. I can admit it is slightly short and puts it close enough to the collar that it actually is not as convenient to screw/unscrew but it's not enough to warrant a return.

I'm very please with the fit and structure of this collar. It saves almost $200 over the leading brand of collar for this lens and seems perfectly functioal and safe. So far, so good.

Seems to be a solid-enough alternative to the Kirk collar for a fraction of the price. Since I don't use this focal length often, this will do the job.

Fit and finish is great, matches my 180-600 really well. Seems very solid in build quality once I tightened everything up. I wanted an Arca Swiss foot built in without using an adapter plate. The QD socket is another reason I wanted this collar and it is compatible with a QD RRS d ring I bought so I can use my Peak Design strap over the shoulder when not using the monopod. This is a much better than solution than what came with my lens and way cheaper than other brands.

This collar is easy to fit on to the 180-600 lens, and is very sturdy and comes with a Arca Swiss mount.Recommended

I purchased third for my new Nikon 180-600 5.6-6.3. The stock collar from Nikon has no Swiss arca mount. I usually buy RRS, or Wimberly, but in my infinite wisdom, I thought I would save a few bucks. I installed the new collar, tightened down strung finger tight. I then mounted my Z9 with the Z 180-600. After about 15 minutes I felt a little play, so I re tightened it. During shooting I retightened my ball head, and wanted to take off the body to switch to a Z8, with a fresh battery. So I removed the body, the the lens still attached to the tripod. I’ve done it countless times, the exact same way. I didn’t want to change my composure. So I took off the Z9, reached for the Z8, and heard a crash to the pavement. The 180-600 slipped right out of the collar. It landed hard , and the lens is toast. The camera’s won’t even recognize the lens. It says “lens not recognizedâ€, or something close to that effect. So my 2 week old $2000 lens is out of commission, and I waited months for it. And it’s such a great lens, sharp, like reallly sharp and great color. I had a great copy of the lens. It was perfect. The hood broke, lens cracked, and the top of barrel is damaged. Nikon will probably charge me the equivalent of a replacement. So it’s on the way to them.Don’t buy this collar. It does not have enough surface area creating enough friction. And both the collar interior, and barrel where it grips are extremely smooth. The finger tightening nut it also small and not well thought out. Spend the extra money for a RRS, Wimberly, or the equivalent quality. This thing is not good. When I get my new lens, this will not be on it. Thanks.

This is the Collar/foot that Nikon should be suppling with their lens. There are other brands on the market that cost much more, however after spending 2000 dollars on a lens before the cost of filters and cases, the last thing you want to do is 200 dollars or more for a collar. The Haoge Collar is machined very well, provides the Arca-Swiss functionality and functions like it was manufactured for your Nikkor Z 180-600mm.Highly recommended

I wanted a collar that had an integrated arca-swiss foot/plate, which this does. However, I feel it's too short to properly balance the lens when mounted on my Leophoto mono-gimbal head. Also, there is no provision for attaching Peak Design loop clips (the factory mount does). Quality seemed fine - just didn't function well for my needs.
