Composed of a strong polycarbonate body with integrated over-mold CMG technology, Fox 40 has combined the pea-less whistle and cushioned mouth grip together in one design. Whistle is available in multiple colors and has an 115dB sound rating. Included with the whistle is a breakaway lanyard. Fox 40 Lanyards are 3/16 (4.75 mm) rope-style, woven with the Fox 40 brand. Includes J-hook and button-style spring-loaded adjustable cord lock.

If it matters to you it isn’t the white plastic mouth grip, but I like it as the same color as the whistle, so fine with me. But it is a great whistle

My daughter is a lifeguard and she likes this whistle. Nice and loud! Really loud! Rubber covering is easy on the teeth if you are blowing it a lot.

Hands down one of the most iconic whistles on the market. The Fox 40 is remarkably loud and extremely distinct. For someone purchasing this item you can not go wrong. I saw a few reviews saying the Fox 40 they received did not sound right, there is a technique to get that distinct sound. I suggest either a short but powerful blast or the method I use, pretend you are eating sunflower seeds and you want to spit one out. Use your tongue to block the whistle opening when blowing quickly removing your tongue allow in the air to go through the whistle forcefully then quickly put your tongue back in place to stop the airflow for that sharp distinct Fox 40 sound. This will create that distinct and recognizable sound that is so familiar to most water parks, pools, or sporting events. Hope that helps.

I’ve been coaching football for 17 years, and the fox 40 has been around my neck for all 17 years. The noise level is sufficient, the price is unbeatable, and the fox 40 is very durable.
