Foxfarm makes some of the best soil. Happy Frog is full of nutrients that you really don't have to feed your plants for at least a a couple of weeks. Big plus especially if you have a budget.,

I have used Fox Farm Potting soil before and it is really good potting soil... I guess I was unable to visualize the size of the bag....12 quarts did not seem to go as far as I thought it would for the money. Next time I will mix it with another product to stretch it out a bit.

I used Miracle-Gro for years, and while it worked well, my recent experiments led me to an interesting conclusion. I compared three Alocasia seedlings: one grown strictly in sphagnum moss, one in Miracle-Gro, and the third in FoxFarm. FoxFarm outperformed the other two. Although the sample size was small, the differences were evident. For your information, all the seedlings came from the same mother plant, and the size and weight of the corms were comparable.
