Not sure how they measure 8 inches but they hardly fit my 6 inch flex tube.

These are made from very thin material almost like a wind breaker jacket and would not fit over a piece of 6in. Duct. I end up ordering a different set that work much better and are made from a think canvas material. Definitely worth spending the extra $4 instead of getting these ones.
