This is a well-made telescope with an agreeable finish to all its components.It was easy to assemble (and disassemble). It comes in a durable zip bag that holds all the components, including the tripod. The bag has carry handles and a shoulder strap. The tripod is surprisingly sturdy. It has a small round tray with holes for the three eyepieces as well.A clever addition is the small finder's scope that allows you to align the telescope with the area that you are interested in before honing in on the object with the telescope. The eyepiece of the finder's scope is adjustable for focusing (see photo).On the top of the telescope is a magnetic compass. It's fairly accurate, though I found my compass off by about 10 degrees. This could be due to ferrous metal objects being close by. Still, it works well to help me determine the general direction before looking through the finder's scope.Included is a cell phone holder that attaches to the eyepiece. I found it difficult to set this up. The cell phone holder clamps to the rubber piece of the eyepiece - this allows it to flex on the rubber; it would be more rigid if it could clamp to the metal of the eyepiece. The cell phone's protective case, depending on size, can make it difficult to clamp the phone in the holder. And then trying to line up the cell phone camera with the telescope's eyepiece takes patience and a lot of adjustment. Once lined up you will be taking a round photo. With our daily cloud cover and no visible stars I have focused on taking photos of wildlife, particularly baby alligators (see photo).Overall this is a nice find and a great beginner's telescope. It has become part of our permanent equipment in our camper. I was concerned at first regarding the quality. It was easy to put together and feels very well built. The views are great. I'm not an astrophysicist but I can easily identify various celestial bodies with this and see many details. It's made for a fun evening for myself and my family.

Nice beginner telescope, and brought out some excitement of getting a clear night to use it. Focusing in on Venus with the highest power magnification wasn't all that impressive, but this is a beginner telescope after all. Still pretty cool to use, but this might be best for looking at the moon, or in my other use case of looking at wildlife in our field. Overall a very nice setup, exactly as described, and performs as expected.

However, the 9mm eyepiece exhibits significant limitations when attempting to extend focal distance for deep-sky observations. The expected increase in magnification does not translate effectively due to either optical aberrations or inadequate light-gathering capabilities, leading to diminished clarity and contrast. This suggests potential issues with either the eyepiece design or the overall focal length compatibility.The included iPhone holder is notably ineffective. The alignment is inconsistent, making it difficult to properly center the phone’s camera with the telescope’s optical axis. As a result, capturing celestial images is nearly impossible, as the camera fails to resolve any discernible astronomical details. The poor stability of the holder exacerbates this issue, introducing vibration and misalignment, which further reduce image quality.
