Hands down some of the best carving wax out there. I had heard of ferrous before actually using it, it really is as hard as plastic but easy to carve with sharp tools. It comes in a nice tight box in a perfect block. It's easy to use if you trip pieces off with a jewelers saw. The blue works well for quite detailed pieces, I am currently using it for detailed miniatures, haven't had any issues at all. Will be coming back to this particular seller as well. The block was shipped and recieved quicker then usual..

I've been using this to make small pewter castings. This is a great material for carving. It's sturdy, yet easily worked, and it has slight translucency that lets you gauge the thickness of some pieces by holding them up to the light.It holds up well to the rigors of repeated delft clay casting (this involves a little light hammering over the wax model). I've used one carving in particular for five or six castings, and it still looks just fine.In short, I'll be getting another one of these once I've used this current block up.

I got this wax to carve things that I will send off to be cast in metal. Amazo got it to me quick and I am having a great time carving does and teeth that I intend to make into jewelry
