For 10 bucks, its a good size and I like how thin and lightweight it is. Its thin enough that it lays out in front of my walk-in closet door and doesnt interfere with opening and closing it. I could see if your cat has had peeing accidents outside the litter box that maybe the material isnt ideal for this. I have the black one with grey design and you can see the litter on the mat. Not a big deal. Very easy to shake out and clean.Also - swear this item has dual purpose: dont want your car to get hot? The other side is that shiny silver and I bet you can put it on the dashboard to prevent the light/heat from coming in during hot days.

I use these under the kitty litter boxes (two boxes; one pad each) to prevent litter from being scattered too badly. They work well. This is the second set. I bought the first set in 2018; they were beginning to show damage from claws and it was time. There's no complaint there. Everything wears out.

I have two cats with a very large litter box. However, they both tend to kick quite a bit of litter outside the box. I purchased this mat to put under the litter box (the box is currently in a room with carpet) in order to help catch some of the excess litter. When I opened the package, the smell emanating from the mat was incredibly strong. It was so strong, in fact, that I worried I was going to have to return the mat. I was speaking to someone while holding the mat, and they could actually smell it on the other side of the room. I chose to put the mat outside and let it air out for a few days. It continued to smell (not as strongly as it did when it was first opened), but the smell did eventually go away. I ended up centering the litter box on the mat and then adding an indoor/outdoor mat that I picked up for a few dollars at the front of the box. This way, the cats can wipe their feet on that when they get out. I hesitated to have the cats walk onto the mat, because once the "rows" in the mat get filled with litter, it tends to start to spill. However, if you can get past the smell of the mat itself, it is a great addition to help keep carpets clean!

I didn't have very high hopes for this mat. But, this one is EXACTLY what I hoped it would be! It's HUGE and that's what we needed for our large cat's litter box! It catches everything and is so easy to vacuum clean! Will be buying another one.

Just used for one day and already a huge difference!Made of a soft rubbery material, has grooves and in the grooves has small 'holes' (there is a thin clear layer lined on the bottom) so the litter doesn't fall through the mat but stays in the groves until you pick up the mat and either shake it over the box or wherever you want the excess to go.I would not say it's waterproof but that's not what it's intended for. I don't know when or if the pattern will rub off/fade away but this company had several design/color options which is nice. I paid $10 and I think it's a great value compared to other mats and for this size.In the pictures show my litter box (18x20) and I have 2 cats, there was a minimal amount of litter that made it to my actual floor and that was 36 hours after putting the mat down! You can see what I mean in terms of grooves and 'holes' and how the litter lays on top.This will definitely help keep the litter from being treked throughout my home and save me time from multiple sweepings each day! I already ordered another mat for our 2nd litter box!

I have tried various different litter mats as a cat owner and rescue. These are probably my least favorite. But they aren't terrible. List of pros and cons as follows.Pros- visibly appealing.- easy to clean.- stays in place.Cons- Doesn't trap litter well, which unfortunately is it's main purpose.- the mat is not solid so liquid accidents seap right through.So functionally is unfortunately not it's strong suit, however I will say, it serves it's purpose in my very specific case decently. I have a foster kitten with an unsolved illness that leads to many #2 accidents on or by the litter box. And it protects my floors from him.

The material of this item is very different than any other mat I have ever used. I have tried everything from from carpet remnants to the felt printed with paw prints you find in the big box stores. The litter piles up on those materials and I have to step on it with bare feet to scoop the box. I thought the materials worked since litter was caught on the material but I would still have litter here and there throughout the house.This material is like plastic or rubber and most importantly is RIDGED. The litter actually does fall in the ridges. The mat appears clean at all times and is great for me to step on. Best of all, less litter throughout the house. The mat is also nice and large. Win, win with this excellent item.

These always look great on the floor too. They stay put and catch litter between the foam rows. My bathroom is small and I appreciate that and the softness of the foam. The price point is good so I can frequently replace it.One thing, is that you don't want to actually dump excess litter back into the box, as it often has foam crumbs in it from him scratching it up.

This mat is as described. However...... I was very disappointed to go to the Dollar Store and see the exact same mat for $4.00 ! I had already used it so did not try to return. I feel very duped.
