I bought this to use on a dresser I'm building for my granddaughter. I'd been having problems with tearout using other bits on the poplar I am using. This bit cut very cleanly and had no tearout.

I bought this to make mancola boards. Wow - this thing is wicked. Hold on tight to your router and make sure the work piece is secured because this bit can send things flying. I have found it challenging to use in harder woods but through trial and error have found ways to do it without chipping the wood. Make sure you get some practice before using on your project. You will want a good ventilation system as this creates a lot of shavings and dust. Be sure not to force it and do NOT clamp your router to the work piece. This is high quality and worth the price.

Like all the other Freud bits I've used; it's sharp, durable, and the geometry cuts cleanly. So far, I've only used it on soft maple, but that's a fairly rigorous test. But it is easy to take too big a cut with this bit, and the result is loss of control of whatever part of the system is free to move. At best this is startling, at worst it can be very destructive.Dan F.

The grind on the cutter is smooth and the cut is true and extremely smooth. First project was to cut a double-wide groove around the edge of a large meat carving board, and the groove was smooth-sided, needing no dressing with sandpaper, indicating that the bit performed well. - (The full brisket came off the smoker with plenty of juices, which were nicely captured in the double-pass groove...) The bit is properly balanced - there was no vibration transmitted up the shaft. I haven't had it long enough to rate longevity.

I used this to make a takuri pattern on some walnut and maple. It stayed sharp and the shaft stayed straight. The edges were clean even across the grain or overlapped strokes.

Better quality than the cheap Chinese brands. You can tell right away. Much more durable too.

Have used this bit multiple times to make screen printing screen frames and it performed flawlessly. The first frame I did I use the speedball chord what you can find on Amazon as well I believe it's about $11. That only gives you ten feet. I use my caliper to measure the diameter of the cord and it comes out to 0.140 which is the same diameter chord you can buy any home improvement store and it's quite a bit cheaper. I paid $4.58 for 25 feet of it. Would definitely recommend this router bit anyone looking for it right bit works amazingly well.

Once you get your router table set up right this bit makes great clean cuts. I use this with a bullnose radius to make barrel sauna joints for the staves
