Keep your swim spas and hot tubs in great condition with the FROG @ease Test Strips. FROG @ease Test Strips are specially designed to let you know when your SmartChlor Cartridge is empty. There is no need to measure the level of chlorine because SmartChlor, a unique, patented type of chlorine, self-regulates, keeping a consistent low level of chlorine.
FROG @ease Test Strips have a single match color “Out Indicator” that shows when the SmartChlor Cartridge needs to be replaced. They also show Total Alkalinity, pH, and Total Hardness levels. To use, dip the FROG @ease Test Strip into the water for two seconds, remove with the pads facing up, shake once to remove the water on the Test Strip, and hold it next to the color chart on the back of the bottle to compare colors.
Each Test Strip bottle contains 30 FROG @ease Test Strips. FROG @ease Test Strips should be used only with FROG @ease systems. This is the best place to buy the these frog strips. They have the purple chlorine indicator which is my favorite. I appreciate that I can find them a little cheaper than I can at the spa store or other places online. They seem to work well and quickly too.

I love the idea of the Frog smart chlorine system. Works great. However, I have to disagree with the instruction on the bottle of this Frog smart color test strip. It takes at least 30 seconds to get a good reading and at that the colors seem to be "iffy" and splotchy on the stick. I have had two separate bottles with the same kind of issue. Also, only 30 strips. For the money I would think they could provide at least 75. I'm going to shop and compare with a different manufacture. If I can spend the same money for the same results with at least double the product, why not. To be fair, I will try one more round to see if the quality of the test improves. Will give 4 stars right now, but I think Frog can step it up a little on this. I want to believe...... BUT Dr. Tim Wang test strips will measure the free chlorine and seems to be pretty accurate when compared to the Frog product. So, save a strip or two. Try what I did and compare readings. Yes, I purchased another bite of the Frog strips to be sure. As long as you know what you are looking for on the test it's all good.

Really like the newer test strips with the purple for SmartChlor value. Even the other tests, the colors seem more consistent across the pads. I’m concerned how deep plum purple mine will test. It’s after I put a new Chl cartridge in and clean filter. I’m beginning to wonder if the @ease cartridges I order from Amazon that come in covered in fine chlorine dust, aren’t recycled and have just crushed pool tabs put in them?! Thus dissolving quicker, increasing Cl & not the correct Dichlor product! 😡 Will go back to pool store for cartridges! But these new test strips are so much better.
