Some companies produce a few models of universal speaker adapters, which they intend to fit a lot of vehicles. The problem with producing universal speaker adapters, is that they never really fit any one vehicle very well. We never produce universal speaker adapters. They fit fine both to the speaker and the door. I installed some nice Infinity speakers but they sounded much worse, bass wise, than the original 6 x 9 cheap speakers. I am pretty sure it is because this adapter has plenty of holes around the extender spacer that allows the bass to escape and cancel out the sound. They need to be sealed.

Bought this because my OEM Adapter rings disinegrated after 14 years in my 2007 Camry SE. Easy install and fit very well. Sound is great, no rattle or echo, did not need any silicone etc.
