I got this hoping it could help with the frozen water line in my fridge. It did work as advertised. However, since my water line was badly frozen (about 2 feet of the whole line was frozen by measuring the length of the tube going inside the line), it took me about 10 squirts to get the water line actually work. Now I don't have to go back to hair dryers any more.Highly recommended !

All you do is fill this with some really hot water. Connect the tube, put one end into the refrigerator waterline make sure you put a towel down. Then push the tube as far up as you can into the water line hole. You will feel resistance then just depress the plunger and send all the water into the tube. You may have to do this several times. You can use very hot water, but I would not use boiling water. I did this three times pushing the tube further in each time . After the third time water started flowing. This is a simple gadget, but it works perfectly and is cheap and I highly recommended.

The water line of my refrigerator froze. This tool helped me reach the frozen area in the line. It took a few time to get the line to thaw. It finally did and everything works great!

To be clear this is just a cheap plastic syringe and even cheaper plastic hosing. I think the value is twofold: 1) not sure how easy it is to find these pieces on your own. Maybe a medical supply outlet? Way easier just to buy this. 2) It works great for a frozen water line. Before I used a hairdryer and trying to squirt hot water down the line without a plastic hose. It would take an hour or more to unfreeze the line (not to mention the frustration!). With this, you just drop the hose down until it hits the frozen spot, then squirt hot water. Works great and it's unclogged in minutes. All in all, you're paying for the ingenuity and efficiency of the concept, not the actual product itself. For that, IMO still money well spent.

I was skeptical this would work based on the pain our fridge has been, but this works GREAT!I've been dealing with an issue off and on for 4-5 years where the water line freezes on our GE french door fridge/freezer and I have to take everything out of the Fridge/Freezer and unplug the fridge so that the water line defrosts. That usually takes at least a 1/2 day and is a huge hassle of having to move everything to our spare fridge and then back into our main fridge. Because of that, we're constantly having to buy bottled water, which has been fun when groceries run out of water during COVID craziness, freezes, and hurricanes.I tried this syringe for the first time this past weekend. I heated a little water in a coffee cup for about a minute and suctioned the water with the syringe. It only took about 3-4 times of shooting that water into the Fridge's water line for the line to get defrosted. Each time I shot water into the line, you could tell it was working because some colder water was trickling out. Suggest having a hand towel ready to catch the water that comes out, which isn't very much.Definitely would suggest trying this out. We've also gotten a repairman out in the past to try to fix the fridge and that would have cost hundreds of dollars, versus this quick easy fix for under $10.

10 Stars for this device. The line for the water dispenser froze on my Frigidaire refrigerator. Not knowing what it was at first, I had a technician come over to see what was causing the water dispenser not to work. They explained that the water line in the door has some frozen water and it's really hard to clear up. I would may have to consider purchasing a new door or a whole new refrigerator.Later that day I looked up frozen water lines in refrigerators on YouTube and found out that using this tool may work.I microwaved some water in a cup for 30 seconds, and within 5 minutes of using the tool, the water dispenser started working again.

This worked within a couple of minutes…way easier and cheaper than what it costs for a technician ($200+).At first the line wouldn’t go up very far, maybe a couple of inches, so I was a bit worried. I also had a false start, where I tried to slowly push the water out of the syringe, but water went everywhere else instead of where I wanted it. TIP: I found a quick, powerful pull/push worked best both for filling the syringe and for flushing the line. The second time I inserted the line it went up about 4 inches, and this time water came out afterward as well. I tested the water dispenser and it worked! I flushed the line again just for good measure. It’s working great!A couple of other tips: one guy used a hot pad with double sided tape to insulate his dispenser from inside the freezer (on YouTube). We found ours has a problem with the ice dispenser on the door, but it’s older and we’re not getting it fixed, so we filled the dispenser with a towel because ice crystals formed there. It seems to help.****UPDATE****It’s been well over a year and the water line is still clear and working perfectly!
