It truly keeps the oil from splattering all over my stove. There's a trick to putting it in and you need to play with it, but it works great and it's easy to keep clean in the dishwasher!

I was not expecting to like this but I tried frying bacon with it and it controlled the amount of grease splattered on the stove. This did not help prevent grease from spilling out of the pan do expect to clean up some grease spots. The cooking area did downsize a bit but the fact that you did not have to scrub the whole stove was a big plus.

The Frywall is easy to use, and easy to clean. The flared sides are high enough to prevent splatter, yet still provide plenty of space to stir and monitor the food. It took up too much space in the dishwasher, so we wash it by hand in the sink and let it air dry before storing in the original package in the cookware cabinet.

The Frywalls are a great alternative to a traditional splatter-screen, and have several advantages over them. First, they are super simple to use: unroll and sit the narrow end into the pan, that's it. The big advantage the Frywalls have is that once in place, you still have full, uncovered access to the food you are cooking. So, you don't need to give up splatter protection just to tend to your food. Finally, because they are made of food-grade silicone, washing them is as easy as washing your hands (you simply hold the Frywall between your hands and wash them with dishwashing soap) or placing them in the dishwasher. The Frywalls are a bit expensive and you do need to buy/use the correct size for the pans you have, but being able to cook effectively while having them in-place is what makes them a great solution.

We do a lot of cooking with our Sous Vide which leads to a lot of searing on the stove top. My husbands biggest complaint is the splatter all over the stove every time he sears meat. As soon as he said that I remembered seeing the Frywall and ordered it. I was (or thought I was) very careful about measuring our favorite cast iron skillet. Based on my measurements, the 12" frywall was perfect. Turns out my measurements weren't spot on and the 12" frywall was too big. Gowanus Kitchen Lab gives pretty clear directions on how to measure and they are serious when they say 11.8" - 12.5". I did use a tape measure but I guess I eyeballed it too quickly. My 12" cast iron skillet measures 11.7", not big enough. The 12" fits perfectly in our 13" skillet. It was a bit of a bummer that it didn't fit in our favorite skillet but my fault. When the company emailed me and asked what I thought of the frywall I was honest and said I was disappointed it didn't fit in the 12" skillet since I'd been careful about measuring. Boy did these guys blow me away with their greatness. Let's remember, this was my fault but even so they weren't happy that I wasn't totally satisfied. They sent me not one but two additional frywalls in different sizes that now fit all of our skillets. Blown away! I just checked to see what else these guys are selling in hopes that there were other cool kitchen gadgets that I might need. Unfortunately the only thing that currently shows up on Amazon is the Frywall. I will be keeping a close eye to make sure I don't miss anything they may offer in the future. Great quality, great company = my favorite place to shop.Oh, the frywall, it seems big but it's great because the funnel at the top is big enough to give you room to work with the food in the skillet without being in the way. It also cleans up super easily and then rolls up for easy storage. Keep the little sleeve it comes in and then just pop it back in that when you want to store it in the cabinet.

When I saw this on Shark Tank, I thought it was a super idea. I received it very quickly and it was packaged well. When I removed it from the packaging, i thought it looked too large, actually buckling when inserted into the pan. I wrote some feedback and received an answer in minutes. The vendor then proceeded to explain how the product was made and to suggest more specifically where it should be placed in the pan (closer to the rim than to the bottom). It actually fits perfectly, but is very high, and so, I fear it might be cumbersome for an average height cook with a counter height cooktop to deftly starry. I have not actually tried it, and I love the non splatter element of the design. The design is super, very sleek and smooth. It is pure silicone, so I know it will wash well in the dishwasher. My only concern is due to the height when it is sitting on the rim of my 3" high sauce pan. Now, a word about the seller. He was immediate in his response, courteous, and informative about how to use the product. I would give the seller a 5 rating, however I had to remove my initial negative feedback and cannot edit it. I wish that Amazon would allow buyers to edit feedback, but certainly i would recommend Gowanus Kitchen Lab as a vendor. Final rating is till out on the actual product.

This item does stop the grease. I like that it stops the splatter and you can still flip the items in the pan without removing it. I can cook without having my arms covered and I do not get grease splatter which is nice.It does make it a bit harder to flip things in the pan if you are using a spatula. If you are using tongs you are fine. It does sit up pretty high in the pan and looks rather comical, but it works very well.Cleanup is not hard, but again a bit awkward getting it clean. It does a great job of keeping the grease in the pan and that is why I purchased it. Much better than a screen that goes on the top of the fly pan. The second you remove the screen to flip something, grease splatters. You won't have splatter with this Big Red.

I saw the America's Test Kitchen review of fry walls and how good they are. I bought one based on that review. They were right. I resisted pan frying much food because it made such a mess even using lids or splatter screens. The fry wall keeps my cooking surface so much cleaner. There is hardly any mess to clean up when I used the fry wall. I think it is a great invention!
