I used the pump maybe 10 times and it quit pumping need to contact someone about what they can do about it

I installed this on my mobile gas caddy and it worked great. Twice. After that, it would not pump the gas. Motor would turn on, but it would not prime. I tightened the connections and this seemed to fix it. Ok, it was sucking air, no big deal, right? Long story short, I figured out I have to either pressurize my tank or flip the filter upside down to prime the pump to get it going. I have not reached out to customer service yet, but will update after I do.

The pump's performance is okay, managing a 15GPM flow rate with a decent suction depth and lift height. However, the build quality feels a bit on the average side; the cast iron construction seems durable but not particularly high-end. It does come with a decent quality filter, which is a nice touch.One aspect that requires attention is the fittings. They can leak if not assembled with care, but with some patience and proper sealing, you can achieve a leak-free setup. A good quality yellow gas PTFE tape and some fuel rated sealant such as Gasoila or Permatex PermaShield Orange helps a lot.Another thing that could use an upgrade are the battery clamps, they are a bit thin and can be difficult to get good contact with battery terminals. I replaced the clamps with a quick disconnect, crimped on some inline fuses and ring terminals that are bolted to the battery. This provides a much more secure power connection.The pump includes thermal overload protection, which adds a layer of safety by preventing motor overheating, and it has an independent grounding wire for safe operation.Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly option, this pump might work for you. It's not the best quality out there, but with a little effort, you can make it function reliably. Just be prepared to spend a bit of time ensuring the fittings are sealed and torqued properly, and possibly upgrading some components.
