Unless you have a really small diploma the black and gold edges, which I wanted, will cover your writing. I needed to take both out so now its plain, I should have bought the frame alone and saved money. The wood quality is very nice! Thickness is great. The glass is good. I like the quality of the frame just the sizing was off for me. Check the size before you buy

I ordered this frame for my daughter’s college diploma. It looks great! The frame is a nice quality walnut wood with a white beveled mat with a gold edge. There is a glass plate to protect the document. It looks professionally framed and my daughter loves it!

This is a very nice frame - decent quality, plus it already has hardware on the back for hanging. However, I learned after ordering this that not all universities use the same diploma size! Mine arrived and it's 8x10" which is just a smidge too small for this frame. I read that most schools use an 8.5x11" size for diplomas but probably best to confirm before ordering. The frame is great, just wish my school used normal document sizes.
