in the studio there's a number of pieces of ac-plugged audio gear and ac-plugged monitors.We had a huge problem where: if someone in the building turned a light or appliance on or off, it would often cause one or more monitors to flicker, perhaps cycle, and you would get audio pops in amps, speakers, eq, dacs etc. and there was often hum all over the place.Unfortunately, with ground or power or ac noise or ground loop problems, unfortunately there are a NUMBER of different issues that can cause your flickering monitors or popping audio or humm.For this reason there's a huge amount of confusion on the issue and, it's a crap shoot whether any "particular" solution will actually solve your particular problem.Fortunately for us, this furman (215A model) did ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY fix all the problems we were having. It now makes no difference if, in the rest of the house, light switches are thrown, vacuums turn on and off, etc etc.The build is rock solid, and now that I've used one, I would pay 2x as much if they put the price up - it's basically "must have" kit at a very fair price for the build quality.I literally love turning on the big solid switch every morning to power everything up! Furman should be proud, great piece of kit.Take all your crap $8 "surge protectors" and throw them in the bin at last !Safety alert - as everyone should know YOU NEVER chain proper surge protectors, you'll start a fire. Thus when you plug in a power strip IT MUST BE a completely "vanilla" power strip that >>DOES NOTWould never be without a power conditioner now, this is the only one I've owned but it's golden. Not ONE pop or flicker since.

I've used this power conditioner for over 10 years on my bass rig and after 100's of shows it's still working great. Its seen multitudes of stage floors and has some battle scars to prove it, but I'm never concerned that it's not going to do its job. Having a good power conditioner can be crucial in a venue with "dirty" power and sometimes it's an easy fix for unwanted noise issues, nowadays I always use it just in case.Every now and then I run into the problem where I need more than two outlets and I guess I could get a different power conditioner to remedy that issue, but the size is very convenient and for the majority of situations this one fits the bill.

I initially got the Chinese noise filtering model and I liked it as it made a noticeable improvement in SQ. I hesitated on this item at first due to having only two outlets, but decided to try it being on sale. The noise filtering on this product appears to be superior as the SQ had greater resolution and a slightly larger sound stage. The built quality on the Furman is much better all around. The outlets on the Furman is solid, but the Chinese brand has some flex when plugging in.Since the AC-215A made a noticeable impact in my system to cleanup line noise, I experimented with affordable power 10g power cables and found they made additional improvements in sound quality. Also experimented with various anti-vibration or isolation products and materials that made more improvements. All I can say is that I am very pleased with each individual change as each may have made a small difference, but they added up to make a noticeable improvement in resolution and clarity.Ordered another power conditioner for my 2nd system and returned the Chinese brand. Would have kept the Chinese brand for my HT or desktop, but it just seemed overpriced surge protector when compared to the Furman surge protector with noise filtering thatalso does a decent job compared to Chinese brand.

This device is offers a simple and effective design that eliminated all of the potentially damaging hum coming through my speakers. There still exists an almost imperceptible noise floor, but it is only audible at significantly high volume levels.The sound quality of my system has also improved, with greater clarity and tonal quality, and a much better blend between low and mid frequencies. I used to think power conditioners were snake oil until now. I’m finally a believer.

The auto protection is also a great feature. Runs perfectly silent and is nice and small. However, the pictures on the site advertised 1600W which is what I needed, not 1200W... but that's amazons fault not Furman, I learned this after calling Furman directly.

Bought primarily as a surge protector for my MartinLogan electrostat speakers. Does not impact the sound quality. Note max 10amp unit (not 15 amp).

De acuerdo a las especificaciones del producto éste ofrece buen nivel de protección y reducción de ruido eléctrico… ya lo veré en épocas de lluvia. SerÃa preferible que tuviera más de dos entradas.
