Works great, added power to my predator 212 with exhaust and .010 head gasket. 125 main jet and raised needed one clip position

I’ll start with the bad, the manifold bolt holes were alittle to close together so you can’t get the bolts into the head, I drilled the manifold holes to the next size up and that fixed the issue..that’s the only thing bad.It comes with a foam filter which is much better than the k&n style filters which let dirt in.It also comes with main jets so you do not need to buy them separately.The carb comes jetted very lean, the 212 it went on would only idle from the factory, I put a #125 jet in it and moved the needle jet clip down one and now it runs absolutely perfectly and there’s a pretty big power difference over the factory carb.For the money this is great!

For a lower priced vm22 clone carb it is built well and had good fit and finish. When I installed it I could not get the engine to start while it did run with the stock carb. What I had to do was 1: the air mixture screw at the bottom was backed out 5 turns out of the box. I ran it down and backed it out 1 turn. 2: I did install a larger main jet as recommended for a 212 Predator. I could then start it but it would not run off choke and had a bad bog off idle. 3: This was the real problem that I found that the pilot jet was blocked solid. I could not see through it or get a wire through it. I had to use a #59 drill bit to clear the blockage. After that I could start the engine and get it to run off the choke. I saw others had similar problems so I gave it a 4 but would have given it a 5 if it did not arrive with a clogged jet.

I have a real mikuni on my other mini bike I tune those easy. . I’ve tuned a bunch of carbs I know the ins and outs and I got this Chinese carb in it looked good but would not tune no matter what I did. Bottom line is it’s junk it was hard to install a pain actually and will not tune.

I installed this on a stock Coleman 196cc Gas-Powered Mini Bike, B200R. After insuring that 2 o-rings fully sealed between carb and intake manifold, no leaks. I determined that there were no leaks by spray WD40 between carb and manifold while listening for a change in engine RPM/ speed. Sealing any leak with WD40 would cause richer gas mix and slow engine RPMs. After determining seal was good, engine idle well with mixture screw out 2 1/2 to 3 turns. The carb came with a 46 pilot jet. I would have liked to decrease pilot jet size to 17.5-20, but none of the pilot jets sold on Amazon fit this carb (V22). When I turned throttle the engine would bog down. I eliminated bogging by lowering needle clip to 5th position (riches fuel position). Engine no longer bogged down. Finally I found that a 115 or 120 main jet provided sufficient fuel for wide open throttle. I stayed with 120 main jet to ensure that I didn't run engine to lien. Runs great now, top speed went from 23 MPH to 33 MPH, and I'm a big guy 6'4" at 260lbs.
