I was super excited for this item. I have a Sentro 48 pin as well and was hoping to use the 22pin to create braided scarves to go with my beanies. Unfortunately this item just didn't cut it.While it did arrive weeks earlier than tracking showed, upon opening it up and trying it out the machine didn't work properly. After just a few rounds the handle would stick and try to pop. I didn't want to force anything, so I would always stop and attempt to rewind the handle a slight bit to help it unstick. When the handle didn't stick it would grind forward and skip making a terrible noise without any warning.I reached out to the seller regarding my issue in the hopes they could send a replacement piece for the handle (based off of what a few other knitting machine users have said it seemed to be an issue of a worn/stripped gear). Unfortunately my email was met with a copy/paste response with tips on how to thread the machine, and place the yarn in the yarn gauge. My issue wasn't addressed at all.So I've decided to return the item. For anyone who's read this far, it seems to be hit or miss on weather or not the machines sent out have issues. I would say this is a case of you get what you pay for and to go into the shopping experience knowing you may very well have a faulty machine sent to you.

Y’all! Y’ALL!!! My feet are toastiest warm during the cold months. And my hands. And my legs. We bought this for my daughter and then gave a metric ton of yarn. I have socks, my mom has socks, she has socks, her sister has socks, even her nephew gets a pair of socks a week! There are no cold tootsies in this family! Nosiree!!! So you have a child that loves to make stuff and display her creativity!! Do you have a child that can put a serious hurting on the yarn section of any store? Buy this! I guarantee y’all will never be cold again!!

I had visions of knee socks dancing in my head....Note: My review is for folks that handknit socks already. Otherwise this is fun machine and I could see ages 12 and up happily cranking things out on it.Sadly the machine will not accept sock yarn. Well it knits it up fine but the gauge is way too large. The machine basically knits worsted weight socks and even those are bit loose. It's like trying to knit socks on a size 7 or 8 needle. Yeah, that doesn't work. Also you can do a rib by stopping the machine and pulling off columns of stitches, letting them drop and using a crochet hook to re-knit them back up to the machine peg (you are looking at the wrong side inside the center of the machine.). This is fiddly and I tested this 4 times and still couldn't get it quite right which led me to believe I could just pick up and knit from the sock once off the machine and do the rib cuff a lot faster. Especially in worsted weight. You can also do a heel by essentially doing short rows on panel mode. Cranking forwards and then back. I hadn't gotten this far yet, but it looked simple enough in the below YouTuber's video.(I found all these techniques on Koala Knits and Knacks on YouTube. Great tutorial.)That being said, I am not sure I can get a worsted sock into my shoe. And the sock yarn version looks like fishnets. However, I do see this being useful in knitting up leg warmers. But how many leg warmers do you need? Maybe I can sell some on Etsy. Even then, I would rather handknit the rib cuff.

I ordered this machine on Oct 12th, it was delivered on Nov 2nd. Today is Nov 20th. I have not used it everyday, I got this to make NICU hats with my children to donate for the holidays. We have made 24 tiny hats and 4 jellyfish rattles to donate as well. And it’s now broken. It makes a grinding noise and does not spin while the noise is happening. I am using it with my children, who are 7 and 5 but seeing as it is meant for kids and I supervised them the whole time I don’t think it was them. I don’t feel right returning it because I did use it. But I am upset and disappointed that I could not make more. I will try to continue to use it and make more and just work through the grinding, but I fear it will just end up in the trash. With tax my total purchase was 54.49 divided by 28 items that’s 1.95 per item. Not to mention time and yarn. Now I am not selling them I am donating I just wished it lasted longer and that I was able to make more to donate. I am hesitant to replace it in fear it will only last so long. We never used heavy or thick yarn with it. Only three and four weight. I don’t think I will be buying it again. And I don’t feel right recommending it, because it’s not built to last.On a positive note it was incredibly easy to use, my seven and five year old were able to cast on and knit and then I came in at the end and took the projects off and finished them up.

This machine is really great, now I can knit socks with ease. However I received it today and when I was unboxing it I looked for the tension rob for the yarn and in the item bag it was broken as you can see in the picture’s. However I did order a new one, but I do like this machine and it works really good. I love it so far. If your looking for an easy way to knit and knit with your kids this is it. It’s so easy to use. I recommend :)

Won't stay put. Hard to wind it wobbles around to much. I returned. Don't buy save your money. I bought the 48 peg and love it.

Used it 2 times to try it out and it will not work correctly the 3rd time. It is a toy and being plastic, the gears are already stripping. Waste of money! Hope I can return it. 😡

A little bigger than i thought for a mini but so far good quality and after watching on you tube, its easier to figure out as instructions are confusing.

After using the machine 3 times, I could hear and feel that the gears were stripped of some teeth and this was without forcing the machine or using yarn that was too thick. In the middle or a row the machine stopped as if a loop was caught incorrectly on a pin. Checked all stitches and tried to resume, the handle turned easily but the machine didn't. After slowly rotating the handle with no resistance the machine started working again but the same problem occurred again. No excessive force. No external power source.
