I have a big head and this still fit me perfectly. The hat covers your ears completely too, to the point where it’s somewhat harder to hear. Very comfortable padding as well; worth the buy.

Previously I bought a trapper hat it was just a little large. I went back and ordered one for women. This is a great value, it has a mask with it and a place on the hat to store The mask which is great, when resistant water resistant super warm I highly recommend

It's adjustable enough so I can even use it over my ski mask when the windchill drops below -20. I don't use the mask that came with it because if it's that cold, I'll use my ski mask and ski goggles. If somebody gets one that didn't get the mask with it, you can buy them cheap enough. I have a couple identical ones laying around that I'd bought during the pandemic so they're easy to replace.

Son loves it. Color matched perfectly with two different Columbia coats. Lining is very soft and hat secures nicely to keep head warm.

This hat is the next best thing to a helmet. It's very warm and windproof. It is excellent as a fashionable winter hat for casual wear as is. However if you want to work with it it needs a few modifications imo. First of all the mask, which I didn't expect I would use, is always handy and keeps your face and breath warm in driving snow. It's nice but the straps are weak and inadequate because they don't keep it from migrating on your face when turning your head. I replaced the straps with heavier elastic to loop both strands behind my head and now it stays put. The biggest overall drawback to the hat design is that the earflaps, when buckled under the chin, limit the lower peripheral vision that you need when working. I ended up taking a "tuck" on both sides where the ear flaps meet the back of the hat. This pulls the flaps back and keeps them out of the way, you can still see them but the visibility is greatly improved. It does make it a little odd when you strap the earflaps up but I don't see a better solution. Besides those flaws I have found it is best to work in it only if it is in the single digits because the synthetic pile gets drenched with sweat. Maybe a wool liner would perform better but not at this price. I do wish they had stitched a stiff material into the visor brim. The brim is held up with two little "tack" stitches. The first time I turned the hat inside out to hang-dry it one of the tacks came out so I removed the other as well. Now nothing holds the brim up but it doesn't fall down at all because the curve of the head keeps it up. I wish I could flip it down perpendicular when needed but that's an alteration above my ability.

This is really well made and extremely warm. It's adjustable, machine wash. I lay it to dry. 14$ can't get any better than that.

Purchased this for my 7 year old son and it has kept him very warm so far this winter season. Washes well too. It's very soft inside - sometimes it's so warm his head gets sweaty. Really great for keeping ears warm! Highly recommend!
