Light duty ceiling rack . Seems to work well for a couple of foam boards and the price was right. I would not use for anything heavier then say 40 lbs, not 200lb. You need to have items balanced on both sides or it will lean. Did not use on lowest setting . Perhaps the damage we see in the other reviews? The ceiling bracket is very sturdy. It’s the tubes that attached that are very lightweight. Almost like it’s aluminum, unnecessarily, thin and light. Works very well for me. Installed tip - drill pilot holes for the mounting screws they appear to be made out of aluminum and will not take much torque. Use six point socket also to avoid stripping.

Absolute garbage. Not what is advertised. The first issue I had was the cheap screws included with the product for mounting, they stripped immediately, so I continued with installation purchasing higher quality mounting screws. Next the product claims to be of adjustable height, it isn't. There is only one hole drilled in the inside pole which is the lowest setting. I decided to still use the product, thinking I could just use it at the lowest setting. As soon as any weight was applied the outer yellow tube crinkled like paper... This is no doubt due to the fact that it was on the lowest (Only) setting. My kayak is 60lbs, the product is supposed to hold up to 200 lbs. Do not be fooled by the positive reviews like I was, buy something else.

I'm soliciting the company for replacement steel. After following the directions, we went to put our 55-lb kayaks (we have 2) on the rack and the entire yellow portion of the steel ripped apart like paper. I'm hoping the company will be able to send new verticle holders, since we already have the anchors in, my hubby will have to strengthen and stabilize with additional bolts.***After sending an email to the company, they promptly answered and send an entire new assembly. The gentleman who answered my email apologized, was concerned about our safety and followed up after we received the new hanger. We did NOT use the lowest setting for the rack, we used the 2nd from the bottom and the steel remained intact. We were able to get our Kayaks up this time without the steel splitting. Thank you!

I felt this rack did the job it was intended to. The only pick about it is that it will wobble back and forth if something would hit it. It will also appear out of balance if the item on one size is heavier than the other. Otherwise it works well.

Great for items like ladders, skis, snowboards, surfboards to store out of the way while still accessible, if your garage ar basement ceiling permits. Height adjustable and sturdy.
