Works great even on garlic that isn't the freshest. Some iv had once the garlic goes even the slightest bit soft ( but not bad) it won't push it through the press but this one works great and comes with a silicone Garlic peeler which works ok but you do have to cut the stem part off the one side and It works alot better without hurting your hand.

Selected this press because cheap plastic kitchen items are not usually 'long-lasting'. Was not disappointed at all with this press. It looks like it would last forever. Had always wanted one of these, as garlic is used extensively in this kitchen. Was absolutely delighted after using this press. What a time-saver. Took some 'getting used to', figuring out how to roll garlic in black tube supplied. But it does work, peeling garlic skins right off. Some complained about 'hard-to-clean'. Not a problem at all here. Simply use 'tips' of supplied cleaning brush to whisk away embedded leftover garlic. Extremely rugged, no flex whatsoever as found in plastic models. The finish seems of high quality. Although it does require a firm grip, there was no problems even though my hands are shot out...constantly hurting. Lots of time was spent mincing garlic in almost every meal. Really impressed (no pun intended) at the quality, speed and ease of prepping garlic, especially in larger batches. No complaints whatsoever.

I really like this garlic press because it works a lot better than the other one I have. Even the garlic peeler sleeve works well.

The garlic press looks nice, but the silicone peeler doesn't really do much. It is easier to peel with a knife. The holes on the garlic presser is too small and it makes it hard to clean because the parts of garlic get stuck in it.
