Important Notice: Not Suitable for Cutting These Materials!
The GARTOL Miter Shears are designed for precise cutting of soft materials such as PVC, softwood, rubber, leather, trim, quarter round, and molding. However, they are NOT suitable for cutting the following materials:
- Metal (including aluminum, steel, and iron)
- Hardwood (such as oak, maple, and walnut)
- Thick or dense plastic (such as acrylic or polycarbonate sheets)
- Ceramic, glass, or tiles 5. Thick rubber or heavy-duty industrial materials. Please use the shears within their intended applications.

Step 1
Measure and mark the cut line on the material with a pencil or marker.

Step 2
Adjust the blade angle on the miter shears according to your desired cut.

Step 3
Place the material into,position it accurately so that the cutting line is aligned with the blade.

Step 4
Firmly hold the material so it doesn’t move while making your cut,handles squeeze together to cut.

Step 5
Release the handles and remove the cut material.If needed, sand the cut to smooth it out.

Ordered this for replacing wood quarter round with PVC quarter round. It works great. My hands aren’t as strong as they used to be but these shears cut through the quarter round with ease. Accurate cuts, well made tool and cut down on time spent on project. It’s a great value. Word of caution… the blades are sharp! Always close and lock the shears once the desired cut has been made. Do not leave the blade open. I learned the hard way, even a small brush up against an unguarded blade will cut your hand.

This is a pretty cool tool when you don't want to continuously bring out your saw to cut some trim corners. I used this while building a greenhouse and I needed to cut down trim for several windows. For the most part, I was pleased. I will say you need a bit of a strong grip to rip through it and the cut wasn't always clean (meaning the trim kind of split since it isn't just a fast/sharp cut) but nothing some caulk and paint can't easily cover up.The accuracy was pretty good and I don't have any complaints there. You, again, need some grip strength to move that knob to the right position, but you don't really want it moving while cutting anyway. Wouldn't recommend this for a thicker trim. I used it for quarter round and that's about all I'd say I'd recommend it heavily for.

Outstanding product!The only thing, and it's really minor, you just need to be aware of is that it tends to cut unevenly. Hope you can see it from the picture. It's really not an issue. If it is an issue for any reason, you just have to sand it down evenly. Of course this may not be an issue if you aren't using it for the purpose I am which is building doll houses.The other GREAT thing about it is you get TWO extra blades with it. I find it hard to believe that under normal conditions I will ever need any more blades and if I ever do, I will be sure to buy this again.And last but not least, it's made in the USA!

I used this to cut 1/2in quarter-round molding for the kitchen and bathrooms. I couldn't have done it without this tool. I love that it also has a safety lock to avoid accidents....make sure you use it lol. I almost had an accident but God protected my wrist and I only got a small cut, these things are so sharp it could do some damage if you're not careful but man these are freakin epic at getting specific cuts. Looks goooooood :) 100% recommend them.

Add me to the list of those who dinged this product because the flat surface you rest the material on is not flat. The 2 halves of the resting surface are off a few degrees creating a bevel with every cut you make. I took the risk ordering this product because I needed to cut something just 1/8†thick and thought it wouldn’t be a big deal if I got a bad tool like several previous reviewers had mentioned. Nope. That thin and it still caused problems.This tool is a great concept, feels robust, but the manufacturing tolerances are obviously out of whack. That’s unfortunate and means this is a must return.

I bought this to cut trim. When I received it I decided to try cutting an angle using a paint stir stick. It would hardly make a dent into the wood. I reread the description and it says soft wood. Guess I’ll buy a trim strip and try it. If it does not easily cut it….back it goes. 🤷â€â™€ï¸

Sharp, clean cut.I have a very strong grip but I was trying to cut 20mm beading and wider than the blade so had to cut from two directions.As I had over 50 cuts to do I ended up using a mitre box.However don't be put off by my comment as I do recommend them if you are only cutting 20 or less.Value for money yes.
