Not all universal in size and application, but worth the money spent.

These fit and I must admit I was a little surprised by that. They are well made and fit tight. I've purchased these three different times over a year's time so I could have extras.

Caps are great to avoid using the water leaking split caps that come with the fuel cans. The threads on all cans do not always fit as easily as others. The coarse threads worked well.

It is a direct fit for my gas can. I recommend.

Threads are too shallow, so they won’t tighten. They just keep spinning.

If you bought a Midwest gas can, or any gas can for that matter, with one of those idiotic 'carb' compliance safety spouts, you've probably discovered by now what a pain they are. Yank it off and replace it with one of these simple caps. Perfect!

I purchased these after hurricane Milton because my gas can caps for generator fuel had worn out. After draining fuel from my generator into an empty can, I sealed it with one of these caps. I picked up and relocated the can. When I place the now full can of fuel down, there was a rush of air and vapour through the seal. It seems that weight of the fuel was enough to draw air into the tank when lifted. That air and vapour mix rushed out passed the seal when placed back on the ground.Like many others, I noted the threads are rather thin. None the less, they do fit a Scepter 5gal fuel can enough for temporary or emergency use to limit spills and leakage until a proper cap or nozzle can be found or the can replaced. It should also be noted that these caps will likely not completely seal the tank on par with an original cap or nozzle.

These caps apparently fit on Wedco gas cans but do not provide a perfect seal no matter how tight you screw them on. A small but unacceptable leak remains. Tried all caps on many cans and could not get a good seal in any case. Maybe the rubber seal is too thin or made of too hard a material. At the end, I could not use them.

Loose threads, wobbly, tested with water. Bottoms out too soon due to length. Leaks badly.
