Steps for Installing a Grill Igniter

1.Turn Off the Gas Supply:- Ensure the gas supply to the grill is completely turned off to prevent any accidental gas leaks.

2.Locate the Old Igniter:- Find the old igniter and take note of its position and connections. This will help when installing the new one.

3.Remove the Old Igniter:- Carefully disconnect any wires connected to the igniter.

- Gently pull out the old igniter from its housing.

4. Install the New Igniter:- Insert the new igniter into the same position as the old one.

- Connect the wires to the new igniter. Ensure connections are tight and secure.

5. Test the Igniter:- Turn the gas supply back on.

- Press the igniter button to check if it creates a spark. If the spark is strong, the installation is successful.

This ignitor was exactly the replacement for my gas logs. I installed it myself, very easily and it worked immediately. I had to purchase the AAA battery. This does not include wires or anything else- only what is pictured. I am very happy with my purchase.

This worked in my propane fire pit perfectly! Easy installation and it fired up the fire pit on the first click. I will be removing the battery in-between uses as the last battery, a Duracell, leaked and ruined this igniter and the one in my grill plus the autopilot remote on my boat. Unfortunately the igniter for my grill is a unique 3 wire igniter which was extremely difficult to find. I am still waiting for the seller to get one in stock. I will NEVER buy another Duracell battery period! They leak and destroy everything I put them in.

I replaced the no longer working igniter in my grill. While the part numbers are identical, and they looked the exact same at first glance, this one ended up with a slightly different offset for the battery compartment than the original - about a quarter of an inch. It was not a terribly big deal, as I was able to bend the original metal shield from my old igniter unit around the longer end of this unit. Functionally, it is the perfect replacement. I am glad to be able to light my grill without a lighter again!
