This is one of those things that you can replace with a length of standard 5/8 hose. First stretched to fit on the engine side almost 3/4 inch outlet, bent in an inaccurate loop, and secured to the proper sized heater core valve. Yes you could do that, it would look sloppy and might be prone to leaking or premature wear.Or you could make sure the hose is capable of higher pressures, with a perfect OEM fit. Having the three (3) required bends plus two (2) angled ends with the bottom of the question mark pre-streched and formed for a larger fitting.I choose the later and this item was the lowest cost option locally by about 40%, delivered in 1 day and was an absolute perfect fit for my 2002 Toyota 5VZFE 1st gen Tacoma.

Heater hoses is like a warm hug for your car. It was easy to install and fit just right. Super tough, they handle engine heat like a boss. It was molded just right but can also trim it if you have the rear heater but I just left it the same size and still worked great.

This hose fits with no trimming needed in my experience. Fit was good and if you plan on bypassing the rear heater, then it is also perfect length for that.
