This was easy and fast to attach to the rearview mirror in my Yukon Denali. It works great for my CB mic without being large or imposing, the pull is smooth, and has good reach. The price is fair for what you get. It seems well built and should last a good long while. My husband has the same one in his semi, so that's why I bought it. Money well spent.

I drive a Cat 785C for a living. I thought this gear keeper would be better than the bungee cords that most people use to hold CB mics. I used it for two days, got put in a 777F, and then my arch enemy on that job ended up driving the truck that had this gear keeper in it. This is a pointless rant, but it’s a top notch product imo. I even used one in my F-450 tool truck that I used to have when I done mechanic work. Thanks.

I Purchased this retractable mic holder for my fire engine. The mic always slid on the dash until I Installed this. It was very simple to install overhead as long as you find an existing screw or bolt you can feed through the bracket hole. The length of the cord is adequate for my application even in such a large cab with a significant reach to the base radio . The retraction force in this particular model is very strong However, I like that you can disconnect the mic from the cord with a quick release if you need to hold the mic as you approach the scene or are staging for any length of time. It also has a break on the retraction spring to hold the cord at a particular length. Hope this review helps you decide if it will work for you.

Quality is amazing, however, I had small easily fixable issue. It was supposed to include a screw for mounting, but there was no screw in the package or shipping package. I have a ton of spare screws in the shop so not a huge issue for me, but might be for someone else. Got it mounted and love it.

The perfect fit, ease of installation, and the best mic hanger on the market. FYI, these guys are the only Hammerhead reseller on a ma zon. All others are cheap ineffective knockoff products.

I drive for a living and for years I have been using the small bungee cords to hold the mic up. I had to orient 2 of them together to get the right height of the mic and to be able to pull it close enough to talk. After a few months they break the elastic internally.this solved the swinging of the mic because it sits closer to it's mount and since the line spools out and retracts there are no extension issues.it is a little bigger than I thought but not a big deal, the "box" part is about 2" x 2" x 1/2" - a little bigger than a box of dental floss.no more catching mic swinging or it falling off the end of the bungee cord.

Very awesome to have, holds my microphone as described. Just missing a mounting screw. I currently have this attached to my backpack and it provides easy access as needed. Very sturdy and built well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a microphone holder.
