. I have a custom Rogue 2 by KiMobility and a smart drive. I attach this to my back rest bar, using 4 zip ties on the metal clamp base, it’s the bar just above the pull handle that drops my backrest so I can put my chair in the car. If you have a custom chair you know what I’m talking about. So then I attach the keychain portion with two zip ties to the furthest back finger indentation on the smart “dumb†drive and that way I can pull my smart drive up and off the ground when I’m inside places and don’t need it. It helps alleviate the rattle and jiggle we get on uneven surfaces.

I bought this to replace my old Cetacea gear retractor that I've had for about 10 years. I use it to keep my console from dragging while SCUBA diving. The Gear Keeper seems solid and has a strong retractor (I haven't taken it in the water yet).Something to keep in mind is that the clip is 1/2" not 3/4". I don't like using the ring that is suppled to attach it to my gear and instead use a clip with another brass bolt. My old one is 3/4" so I am forced to purchase a new brass bolt with a 1/2" clip (Gear Keeper item# ACO-0922) which I cannot locate through Amazon or any other online source. I have contacted Gear Keeper about ordering that piece or another retractor with a 3/4" clip.

Bought this for a badge retriever. It's way stronger than what I needed. I now use it for my heavier ring of keys and it works great!

It is a large box. It does have a very strong pull & Pretty darn durable. If you're looking for a small key holder this ant it. Unlike that boomerang when you were a kid. This thing will rally a maglight containing 5D batteries like nothing. Uncle Bill had it attached to his belt loop & zzziipppp. He doesn't need that hip surgery anymore. Funkytown is playing on repeat & I never wanted to know how to disco.Awesome tool. I recommend.

This piece of gear has a high strength, has a locking mechanism, and arrived way before it said it will. The company even sent me an e-mail about details of the product after purchase, and notified me about the possible issues while delivering. Neat product at a good price. This was not cheap but would appear to have a 'bomb proof' quality of build and locks off really well. Nice piece of kit that actually works well.
