This tool makes it really easy to load the coffee ground and seal the foil on the lid. I can prepare about 1 pod a minute compared to like 4 minutes without this tool. This makes a big difference when preparing a weeks worth of pods.I would highly recommend this product if want to:1. Reuse and reduce pod waste2. you want to run your own coffee3. And save lots of money and avoid vendor lock-in.For example, a pod fill with Illy coffee ($10.39/250 gram container) will yield a 25 coffee pods (1 scoop per pod) + ~espresso left over. That comes out to 41¢ per pod. Nespresso Veruto per pod costs comes in a $36/30 = $1.20. So essentially 3 homemade pods to 2 Nespresso pods if you want to think about that way.The foils that came in the pack worked, but I prefer the foils by AIEVE because they have a slightly larger diameter and there is more room for error. You need to precisely center the Geesta foils. Other than that, the general the fools work very well. The brush seems to be a pointless addition to the set. I never use it to clean the pod lid. Instead, I just quickly tap and rotate the pod until all the grounds slide off the lid. What’s more, I have seen a lot of people using the end of the brush to seal the inside of the foils to the lid. I have experimented quite a bit this method and have actually found better results when skipping that extra step and just using the tool to seal lid.The scoop is nice for consistently dosing the pods. I don't even bother with a scale more.

I love my new Nespresso Vertuo Next machine. Best coffee I’ve made at home. But the Nespresso and Starbucks pods are quite expensive. This kit gives the ability to reuse the aluminum pods, along with your own favorite espresso, to make homemade espresso, cappuccino or latte at a much lower cost. Filling the pod and resealing with this kit is easy, and it works great in the Vertuo machine. I’ve seen other reviews about the pods not staying sealed if you pre-make them well in advance. I don’t have that problem because I make them as I use them. Highly recommended.

The system actually works, but as I've learned from the 50+ cups I've made: what you save in money, you spend in time and mess. The pro: its actually simple...you take the cup holder base (provided in the kit), put in a clean Vertuo pod (i.e. a pod that you previously made a cup of coffee with, emptied, remove most of the foil & cleaned) , then just fill it with freshly ground coffee, peel off a foil cap sticker (about 100 come in the kit), place that sticker loosely in place over the edge of the newly filled pod (making sure that you put it on fairly straight), take the "presser downer" ring (also provided in the kit) and rotate, making sure there is a tight seal between the foil and cup. Pretty straightforward (after doing it once). However, the negatives are that you have to clean out the old cups (or at least a bunch of them), remove the original foil seals using a box cutter (can be dangerous with a sharp knife and wet hands) and make sure any new coffee you just poured into pod/cup isnt interfering with the seal on the lip of the cup...There's a knack to it but its not super hard, just takes 'a feel'. Coffee tends to get all over the place. It takes time. Its messy. It takes some experimentation to fill the right kind of cup, with the right amount and grind of coffee...Know that pods have a bar code on them that tell the vertuo machines how much water, time & pressure to pump into the pod to make the brew... so the same coffee will brew different with different color & sized pods... I overfilled a couple pods, thinking that would result in a stronger cup, but when I overfilled a pod, it would tend to overpressurize during the brew and blow off the foil, making a bigger mess inside the coffee maker itself. Message to you...DONT OVERFILL THE PODS... but underfilling or using too coarse a grind means watery weak coffee. So, be prepared to play around with different variables. There *is* a solution to the math.My bottom line is that it did save me a few dollars, but the hassle only seems to pay off when I drink a lot of cups...Between the cost of the bulk coffee, the kit cost (a one time investment) and the foil stickers (cheap, but an ongoing cost) , I estimate that I saved roughly 25%-33% of the cost vs. the pre-filled cups...so maybe $0.25-$0.30 cents per cup...that will add up, but it ain't going to make you rich quick...After some experimentation, I now tend to get pretty good cups from store bought, cheaper coffee...If you are a busy mom or dad, or working person...it might not be worth it...but for the 'coffee-a-holic', starbucky guzzler who has more time on their hands but tends to get annoyed at the price of brand named coffee, this might just work for you.

As we lla know Nespresso pods are delicious but very expensive! So this was an excellent alternative and the best part is you can use your fav coffee without breaking the bank!! So far I tried it with expresso and it worked amazing, can't wait to try it with Americano. Oh, and it also fits perfectly in the pod and easy to assemble.

Perfect as expected!

Die Klebefolie hält gut auf den Nespresso Vertuo Kapseln, somit entsteht nicht zu viel Müll und man kann seinen Lieblingskaffee verwendet. Das beigefügte Zubehör hilft bei der Befüllung der Kapseln. Top Produkt.

We have now ordered 2 sets of these (for 'bulk' production) and are ordering multiple packs of replacement foils. It's easy to use, and once you have mastered sealing around the edges, they work a treat. Unlike other reviews we haven't had any split on us. Even if we haven't sealed properly around the edge the coffee is staying in the pod. The wooden support really helps when holding to make the seal. As our favourite brand of ground coffee isn't available in Nespresso pods, these foils mean we can drink whatever we like. Reusing the Nespresso pods is more environmentally friendly, and also ensures the bar codes read properly. A sharp knife around the inside of the lip of the original pod quickly removes the original foils.
