Upgraded 8703 Rain Gauge
In the original version of the product, we designed cardboard to prevent inaccurate rainfall caused by the automatic shaking of the detection device in the rain gauge. Now, we have upgraded this product by removing the cardboard from the rain gauge in advance. While ensuring the accuracy of the rain gauge, it can also provide you with a more comfortable using experience.

Whether you are tracking rainfall for your garden or as a hobbyist, having a rain measure gauge will give you more accurate data. Rainfall totals can vary significantly from one neighborhood to the next, by measuring the totals in your backyard, you will have relevant data that is significant to your area.
With the Geevon electronic rain gauge,you will be informed about three reading values at the same time: the rainfall, the indoor/outdoor temperature/humidity and the time of day.

Important Placement Guidelines
• The range is 150 ft. (50m) unobstructed. The wireless range may be reduced by trees, walls, windows, etc.
• To maximize wireless range, place units away from large metallic items, thick walls, metal surfaces, or other objects that may limit wireless communication.
• To prevent wireless interference, place both units at least 3ft (1 m) away from electronic devices (TV, computer, microwave, radio, etc.)
• This rain gauge need to be removed in the winter. If it rains and then freezes it will break.

Seems to work good and accurate. Needs to be mounted on a flat wooden surface within WiFi range but unobstructed

I really like this unit a lot. I especially like the method they used to allow an easy way to replace the batteries in the outside unit. It was very easy to set up and the display is easy to see and read. Unless you place the outside unit in a shady location that is still open to the sky, the outside temperature will not read accurately. They rain gauge also has the temperature and humidity sensors inside its housing and if it is placed where the sun beats down on it, it gets extra hot. This results in a higher temperature reading then is actually present. All in all, I really like this system and will recommend it.

Does not last long. My first one lasted about four months, then the outside unit died. Thought it was the batteries, but no, it was dead. Ordered another to give it another shot because I liked it while it lasted.Second one lasted about six months, then the outside unit stopped measuring rainfall. Will no buy again, and lowering to one star.Recommend you stay away, unless you just need a temporary solution, because that's what this is.

1. Packaging was poor. Item rattled in the shipping bag that enclosed the item box. This was caused by the rain sensor rattling back and forth during shipping. Hope the gauge works. Will let you know.2. Instructions were poorly written. It says: "Take out INSERT CARD BEFORE USING" There was no other reference as to what this thing was or where it was supposed to be, it did not exist.3. Remote sensor did not pair with display. Finally figured out that if I removed the display battery and reinstalled it the unit would receive the remote signal. That required reprogramming display all over again.4. There seems to be no way to clean debris that will eventually collect in the rain gauge. Any ideas for that?
