Works like any weather station does but has a bright, clear, large backlight display when plugged in. Can be used without the cord, but light only stays lit when plugged in. Otherwise, you have to touch it for it to stay on for 3 seconds, although you can still see the display clearly without the backlight from a couple feet away. I bought it to replace a smaller weather station in my dining room and an old wall clock in my living room.

This is like a 2 in 1 (Time & date)(Temp & weather). It's great for anywhere. Very bright or very dim. The display is very clear and easy to see. I'm 50 yrs old to give an idea where I'm coming from.

The big numbers are easy to see from across the room. The atomic clock didn’t pick up the radio signal until the middle of the first night after I plugged it in. But it works great now.

I’ve color and very visible from all areas in the master bedroom. Time and all functions are great and it’s a large size. Ez setup and accurate.

I bought 2 of these because the screen is clear and easy to read across the room. It's also great at night. Just put in batteries, plug it in, and wait, it will set the time and date automatically. Then the time changed. It's off by an hour. Well, it updated after about 12 hours and had the correct time. Ok, fine.The second one... It's been a few days and it will not set the time from the atomic clock. The first one indicates that it has a good radio signal. So I took the new one and put it next to the first. It stated that it was now receiving a radio signal. But it would not set the time and date. I keep trying to force it to use the radio signal, but it won't set.The odd thing both do, is they will dim the screen if you touch them. You can still read the time, but nothing else. Usually, the first one will go bright again in a minute. The new one stays dim for a long time. I can't find any brightness button.
